•FLOOD GAUGES- Flood gauges, also known as water level sensors or river stage sensors, are
used to monitor water levels in rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water. These gauges measure the
height of the water surface and provide continuous data on water levels. When water levels rise
above a certain threshold, the gauges trigger alarms or send alerts to authorities, indicating the
potential risk of flooding. This information helps in issuing flood warnings and initiating
evacuation procedures in flood-prone areas.
The water levels in rivers, lakes, and other bodies of water are monitored using flood gauges,
often referred to as water level sensors or river stage sensors. These gauges give real-time
information on water levels as well as the height of the water’s surface. The gauges indicate the
possible risk of flooding by setting off alarms or notifying authorities when water levels increase
above a certain threshold. When evacuating locations at risk of flooding, this information is
helpful in giving warnings and starting the process.
