Affidavit

I, Satpal Kaur aged about 69 years Wd/o Late Gurmeet Singh R/O Village
Tanda Ram Sahai, Tehsil Mukerian, District Hoshiarpur, do hereby solemnly
affirm declare as under;

1. That the deponent is permanent resident of the above stated

address and is mother in-law of the complainant.
2. That the complainant has gave the list of Istri Dhan on last date
of hearing before this Hon’ble court and the list of gold ornaments
and other articles mentioned in the list are false in fact the Istri
Dhan of the complainant which are in custody of the deponent are
as follow;
Gold Ornaments:-
i. One gold chain
ii. Three gold rings
iii. Two pairs of gold earing
Other articles
i. Bride lehanga
ii. Two luggage bags
iii. Two ladies purse
3. That except above mentioned articles the deponent do not have
any other articles of Istri Dhan of the complainant, the
complainant in order to harass the deponent who is old aged
widow lady and lives alone at her house has falsely mentioned the
excessive articles list. Moreover during the police inquiry of this
case the complainant had given the list of articles to the police
official in which she alleged the said articles are in custody of the
deponent and the said list is do not match the list filed in this
 Hon’ble court which clearly shows the ulterior motive of the
complainant. List filed during the police inquiry is attached here
with for the kind perusal of this Hon’ble court.
4. That furthermore the complainant left her matrimonial house she
went without informing anyone and she took all the articles which
were given by the deponent to her at the time of marriage which
are as following;
Gold ornaments
i. Two gold bangles 4 tola
ii. Gold mangal sutar 2 ½ tola
iii. 1 pair of earing 1 ½ tola
iv. Three gold rings each weight ½ tola
v. One gold Rani Haar 6 tola
vi. One gold kitty set 1 ½ tola
vii. Golden Tikka
Other articles
i. Passport of the applicant
ii. 21 ladies suit
iii. 15 suits, including mens wear, child wears, ladies
iv. Makeup kit
bill of all these articles will be provided if required by this Hon’ble
court.
