Indo-US Civilian Nuclear Cooperation Agreement:
Another step in the warmongering, imperialist US-India strategic
alliance
U
S President George Bush has
signed the Hyde Act which
was passed by both houses of
the US legislature to enable the US
administration to pursue the deal on
nuclear energy cooperation which was
unveiled by Bush and Manmohan Singh
in July 2005. The Hyde Act explicitly
includes provisions to determine what
nuclear technology and fuel can be sold
to India and under what conditions.
It clearly limits the usage of this
technology and fuel, bars the use of
the spent fuel, and calls for the US
President to report annually to the US
legislature on whether India is sticking
to the provisions of the Act or not. In
case India is seen to be violating the
provisions of this Act, India would be
compelled to return all the fuel and
technology it acquires from the US.

addam Hussein, former President
of Iraq, was hanged to death on
December 30, 2006, immediately
after a farce of a trial orchestrated
by the puppet regime operating on
behalf of the US imperialist occupation
forces. The Communist Ghadar Party
of India joins the millions of other Indian
people, parties and organisations in
condemning this barbaric act by a
power which sits in illegal occupation of
Iraq and is guilty of the greatest crimes
against humanity.
Iraq under President Saddam Hussein
was attacked by US imperialism not
because he was a dictator as the US
imperialists make out, but because his
regime refused to fall in line with the US
strategy to control and dominate that
region and the world. He was hanged
because the Iraqi people under him
defied the might of US imperialism for

Now India and the US will have to
complete negotiations on the 123 Act
which is necessary before technology
and fuel can be transferred. The
terms of the 123 Act will have to be
consistent with the Hyde Act, and will
need ratification by the US legislature
before it comes into effect. India
will also have to negotiate with the
International Atomic Energy Agency
and the Nuclear Suppliers Group to
get their ratification for the nuclear
plans of India.
It is clear that with this deal on nuclear
cooperation, the US is seeking to bind
India ever more closely with its own
strategic aims. Various sections of
public and expert opinion have pointed
out that such a deal would give the
United States unprecedented leverage
decades, braving years of debilitating
sanctions and literally mocking its
attempts to bring them to their
knees. Unleashing a barrage of patent
falsehoods about his possessing
weapons of mass destruction and
being a danger to world peace, the
Anglo-American imperialists launched
a devastating invasion of Iraq. Saddam
Hussein was hanged because even after
he was deposed and imprisoned, the
masses of the Iraqi people refused to
accept the dictate of US imperialism
and continue to wage a fierce struggle
against the occupying forces and their
allies, and the US imperialists feared
that Saddam Hussein could be a rallying
point for all those opposed to the
occupation. His hanging was a cowardly
and vengeful act of a bloodthirsty
occupying power.
The Communist Ghadar Party of India
over India's military decision-making, as
well as its foreign policy. The Hyde Act
among other things demands that India
support the US in preventing Iran from
acquiring nuclear weapons. It demands
that India should assis the US in
promoting its plank of “non-proliferation”
worldwide. The Indian state had for
decades taken the stand that it would
not abide by a non-proliferation regime
in which only a few privileged states
would have the right to possess nuclear
weapons. It had held out the goal of
universal disarmament, pending which
it recognised the right of every state to
acquire and possess nuclear weapons.
However, with the carrot of special
nuclear cooperation, and recognition as
a nuclear weapons state, being dangled
in front of it by the US, the Indian

They must be put on trial for aggression
and violation of the sovereignty of Iraq,

They must be held accountable for the
killings of more than 600,000 Iraqi
people since the invasion, and lakhs
more before that, and for cynically
organising bloody sectarian strife in
Iraq. From the torture chambers of Abu
Ghraib to the massacres of Fallujah, the
crimes of the US occupation in Iraq have
exceeded all belief.

presentation in the Seminar. He pointed
out that the Ghadar of 1857 gave
rise to the call “Hum hai iske malik,
Hindustan Hamara”. The revolutionaries
were not fighting, as some suggest,
to reestablish the rule of the Mughal
dynasty. They were fighting for a new
vision of an India free from colonial
rule where the people will be masters
and would decide who would rule. This
struggle was drowned in blood and the
colonialists established a state to defend
and perpetuate colonial and imperialist

The year 2007 is the 150th year since
the great Ghadar of 1857, when our
people rose up in revolt and asserted
that “India belongs to us, we are her
masters!” That revolt took place at a
time when capitalism was growing and
spreading all over the world, through
colonial and semi-colonial plunder of
the majority of nations and peoples.
The Ghadar of 1857 shook colonial
rule, not only in this subcontinent but
on the world scale. A century and a
half later, the echoes of that Ghadar
continue to reverberate, as the people
of India clash with the existing political
order in which they remain excluded
from decision making power. Those
who believe that India must belongs
to her people are clashing with the
minority that has usurped power and
is driving the country on a dangerous
course, in their narrow interest, as
if India belongs only to them. Let us
unite all the fighting forces in India
against the bourgeoisie and against the
conciliators to fulfill the unfulfilled aims
of the great Ghadar, with the call of the
times — Workers, Peasants, Women
and Youth, We Constitute India, We are
her Masters!
The year 2007 is the centenary year
of the birth of the great patriot and
revolutionary of our people, Shaheed
Bhagat Singh. He fought for an India
free from all forms of exploitation and
oppression, a socialist India. Socialism
has been turned into a policy objective
by the concilators with the bourgeoisie
in the communist movement. Let
2007 be the year when the youth
led by the party seize the red flag of
communism which is being besmirched

The year 2007 is the 90th year since
the Great October Revolution, which
broke the chain of world capitalism
when it had developed to its highest
stage of imperialism. This is an
important landmark for all communist
revolutionaries, in India and in every

landmark event, imperialism may look
like it is all powerful, doing what it
pleases. However, beneath the surface,
the capitalist economic system is in
very deep crisis on the world scale.
The United States is sliding into an
economic abyss, with a threat of
recession in 2007, and an even bigger
looming threat of the Dollar collapsing
in the near future. The more it sinks
into crisis, the more ferocious and
warmongering imperialism becomes.
More and more people are recognizing
that the world can be saved from
destructive wars only through another
round of revolutions.
The year 2007 is also the 60th year
since the Great Betrayal of the Indian
working class and people. The transfer
of power in 1947 was a complete
negation of the aspirations and aims
of the Ghadar of 1857. It was also the
complete negation of the lessons of the
Great October Revolution
The transfer of power ensured the
continuation of plunder in new forms.
The Indian bourgeoisie became the
master of India. The political institutions
of state power that the British created
in 1858 and further perfected in 1935
were retained as the basic institutions
of independent India. Continuation
of exploitation and oppression was
presented by the new rulers as a
“new” system, a “new” Republic. The
change was superficial, not deep going.
At the foundation, the state machine
remained the same as under colonial
rule, with the Indian Civil Service being
renamed Indian Administrative Service.
To this was added the political process
of representative democracy, modeled
after the Westminster system of the
British bourgeoisie.
A principal factor behind this was
the betrayal by the leadership of the
Communist Party. The Communist Party
conciliated with and tailed the Congress
Party which stood for transfer of power
to the bourgeoisie without deep going
social revolution.
The greatest betrayal of the working
class took place in the socialist Soviet
Union after the rise of Khrushchev to
the head of the Bolshevik Party. This
had a major negative impact on India.
The leadership of CPI began to repeat
the lies and illusions spread by the
Khrushchevites. They spread illusions
about bourgeois democracy and about
the Congress Party's "socialist pattern
of society". They declared that there was
no need for revolution. They spread the
illusion that socialism could be achieved
peacefully through parliamentary means.
They split the party in 1964. Communism
in India was reduced to a distant policy
objective, as two major factions, CPI
and CPI (M) competed in parliamentary
struggle to become crisis managers
for the bourgeoisie. These two parties
continue to play the role of fire fighters
for the bourgeoisie in the communist
and workers movement.
The year 2007 is the 40th year since
the Naxalbari uprising, which shook the
conscience of all Indian communists,
and once again placed revolution on
the agenda. Communist revolutionaries
began to organise the peasantry for
seizure of political power through
armed revolution. Naxalbari represented
the rejection by Indian communist
revolutionaries of the illusion of a
parliamentary path to socialism. The
echoes of Naxalbari reverberated all
across the country and inspired the
youth to take to the path of revolution. It
gave rise to a new party, the Communist
Party of India (Marxist-Leninist).

factionalism within its ranks, nor

the tendency of looking abroad for
leadership. It could not withstand the
repression unleashed by the Indian
state. It disintegrated, split into
numerous factions. While the workers
and peasants fought pitched battles
with the bourgeoisie and its state, they
were left without a Communist Party to
guide them. Indira Gandhi imposed the
National Emergency in such conditions,
to remove revolution from the agenda
of the people and impose conciliation
with the bourgeoisie as the dominant
line in the communist movement.
Various sections of the communist
movement, including factions of the
CPI (ML) capitulated to this pressure.
They either joined the bandwagon
of Mrs Gandhis “fight against right
reaction” or the plank of “restoration
of democracy”.
Recognizing the serious situation facing
the people and the revolution, communist
revolutionaries began preparing to
reestablish the vanguard party of the
Indian revolution. The need was to build
a party that drew appropriate lessons
from the experience of the Indian and
world communist movement. The need
was to defeat parliamentary cretinism
as well as the line of individual terrorism
and build a party that coul lead the
people of India on the road of revolution
and socialism. With this in mind,
has only exposed it even more in front
of the world's people as the most
dangerous and perfidious force the world
has ever known. It will not succeed
in quelling the courageous resistance
struggle by the Iraqi freedom fighters
who are determined to win back their
country's independence and sovereignty.
Not just in Iraq, but all around the world,
including in the US and Britain, the tide
of opposition to the criminal invasion
and occupation of Iraq is growing. In
their reaction to the hanging of Saddam
Hussein, the Indian people too have once
again shown their unequivocal opposition
communist revolutionaries met in
Toronto, Canada, under the aegis of the
Hindustani Ghadar Party (Organisation
of Indian Marxist Leninsts Abroad) at
the first Congress of this organization
and decided to contribute actively to
the reconstitution of the vanguard of
the Indian working class.
September 5, 2007 marks the 30th
anniversary of this great occasion.
The Communist Ghadar Party of India
was founded in 1980. Militating in the
ranks of our party are an increasing
number of youth from the working
class and peasantry. We have a Party
that has been steeled in conditions,
when the wind has been blowing
against communism on the world scale,
following the disintegration of the
Soviet Union in 1991.
The ruling bourgeoisie is on an extremely
dangerous course today – to make India
one of the big imperialist powers of the
world. It is calling this Bharat Nirman

means to make a clean break with the
colonial legacy in economic and political

people. The UPA government should
listen to this powerful voice of our people
and desist from trying to align itself ever
more closely with such a bloodthirsty
and treacherous power.

their rule. We communists usher in
the New Year with great optimism. We
derive this optimism from our work,
from the correct summation of the
positive and negative lessons we draw
from history. The Central Committee
calls upon all party members to work
resolutely according to a plan to
defeat the class conciliators within the
communist movement. We must smash
the line of tailing the ‘secular’ faction
of the bourgeoisie and seeking common
ground between the exploiters and the
exploited. This is the vital lesson we
draw from history.

Condemn the Mill Owners" attempts to close Century Mills!
Support the just struggle of the Century mill workers to protect
their livelihood!
Notwithstanding the closure of Century
Mills, thousands of workers have not
given up their struggle; they are not
ready to accept that they must quietly
accept VRS. Kamgar Ekta Chalval
issued this statement in support of
their struggle.

Century Mills, one of Mumbai’s
oldest mills, has stopped
production since December 8th, 2006.
On December 6th, a notice was put up by
the Mill owner threatening the workers
that if they did not take VRS by 12th
December 2006, then the Company
would declare a lockout and would
only pay them their legal dues. This
was followed by armed police entering
the factory and the goondas of the
management under police protection
harassing the workers and forcing
them to take VRS. In addition the Union
activists were either openly threatened
with dire consequences to them and
their families or offered large sums of
money to take VRS.
Century Mills is a fully modernized
Mill, which was exporting 90% of its
production till a few years ago. But
now the Mill owners are greedily eyeing
the prospect of converting the mill land
into posh commercial and residential
complexes and reaping super profits.
It was in this situation that over 6000
workers were literally forced to take
“voluntary” retirement. Those who have
taken “voluntary “ retirement face an
uncertain future, as is the case with
workers in other mills as well as other
industries.
However hundreds of workers, led by
their Union, Sarva Shramik Sanghathana,
have refused to be cowed down by the
management's terror tactics and have
refused to take VRS.

Workers of Kanpur raise pertinent questions

decided to organize a public
meeting of workers in Kanpur on
January 21, 2006. Activists of all trade

Forest dwellers win partial victory; condemn government’s betrayal:
Onward with the struggle for the rights of the forest dwellers!
T
he Scheduled Tribes and Other
Tr a d i t i o n a l Fo r e s t D w e l l e r s
(Recognition of Forest Rights)
Bill, 2005, which was passed in the Lok
Sabha on December 15, has been met
by loud protests of tribals and forest
dwellers.
Tribals and forest dwellers from all
over India have been on dharna in New
Delhi since November 22 demanding
significant amendments to the Bill. On
December 16, over a hundred tribals
and forest dwellers staged a protest
march to the residence of the Minister
of Tribal Affairs, opposing the form in
which the Bill was finally passed and
declaring it a “betrayal of the struggle
of lakhs of people”. On December 19,
they held a big public rally at Jantar
Mantar in New Delhi.
The Bill formally recognizes the right
of the forest dwellers, tribal and non-
tribal, to their land and resources, and
in that sense, represents a partial
victory of the decades-long struggle
of the forest dwellers. However, in
its present form, it falls far short of
the actual demands that the forest
dwellers have been repeatedly raising,
in terms of empowering the forest

their traditional habitat and sources
of livelihood.
Forest dwellers remain one of the
most savagely exploited sections
of our toiling people. Following the
tradition of the British colonial rulers,
the Indian state has taken over most
of the forest land all over the country.
Through its Forest Department, the
state virtually controls the lives of
the hundreds of thousands of people
who have been traditionally living there
and earning their livelihood from the
forest produce. Forest dwellers have
been facing the constant threat of
being declared “illegal occupants”,
brutally evicted from their land and
source of livelihood, destruction of the
forests, extortion, victimization and
torture at the hands of the forest
officials. In the interests of the biggest
private monopoly capitalists, the Indian
state has handed over huge tracts
of forest land for mining, rendering
thousands of forest dwellers homeless
and destitute.

Tribals of Betul district mark
Human Rights Day with protest
rally
On December 10, International
Human Rights Day, nearly a hundred
tribals took out a protest rally in
Betul town in Madhya Pradesh and
formed a human chain at the main
intersection. Declaring that human
rights have been reduced to a farce
under the present system, they
shouted slogans such as ‘Manav
Adhikar Diwas dhoka hai’ and
denounced the state authorities
and police for their utter disregard
of the rights of the tribals and
working people. Hundreds of tribals
of Betul district have been on dharna
at the local SC/ST police station,
demanding action in the matter
of non-payment of their wages.
The tribals of village Pipalbarra
of Chicholi block, who have been
working for the forest department,
are being denied payment of their
due wages, amounting to more
than 2 lakh rupees, for the last
14 months. Even after prolonged
agitation, payment of only rupees
1 lakh has been made. The tribals
claim that the district authorities
are producing forged documents
to show that the wages have been
paid. Their demand for justice is
being ignored by the authorities.
Earlier, on December 7, around five
thousand tribals of Betul district,
under the banner of Shramik
Adiwasi Sangathan and Samajwadi
Jan Parishad, had demonstrated
at the SC/ST police station in Betul
and called for action to be taken
against the forest officials who
are responsible for non-payment
of their due wages. The protestors
demanded that an FIR be registered
against the guilty forest officials.

Condemn the police repression of the tribals of Kinnaur
O
n December 9, police brutally
lathi-charged, tear-gassed and
fired upon thousands of tribal
people of the Karchham-Wangtoo area
of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh.
The tribals had rallied at the site of the
hydel power project being constructed
by the Jaypee group of companies,
to protest against the devastating
consequences of the project. Twenty
Six people were severely injured due to
the police brutality, out of which Two
received bullet injuries and are reported
to be in critical condition. The police
arrested six prominent leaders of the
movement and sent them to judicial
custody.
The 1000 MW Karcham-Wangtoo hydel
project on the river Sutlej is believed
to be one of the biggest private hydel
power projects in the country. In this
project, a18.5 km long diversion tunnel
is proposed to be constructed, involving
an investment of Rs.5500 crore.

are the people of Afghanistan and Iraq
facing a genocidal campaign unleashed
by the US and its allies, Cuba, North
Korea and Iran are facing blockade and
are being threatened everyday. The
peoples of the Muslim faith are being
branded as "terrorists" by the biggest
terrorist in the world, US imperialism.
The working class and peoples of the
world are coming out on the streets
opposing globalisation, liberalisation
and privatisation. They are loudly
proclaiming their complete opposition
to imperialism, fascism and war.
In these conditions, the Communist
Ghadar Party of India has been boldly
leading the working class and people
of India in waging a united struggle
against imperialism, fascism and war,
and against the Indian government's
attempts to join the US in a strategic
partnership against the peoples of India
Right from the time of its proposal,
the project has been fiercely resisted
by the local tribal communities. The
panchayats of the five villages in this
predominantly tribal area, Chagaon,
Urni, Runang, Meru and Yula, as well
as panchayats of neighbouring villages
have also opposed the construction of
this hydel project by refusing to give the
mandatory ‘no objection certificate’.
The local communities of this region
have been resisting the proposed hydel
project for the past several years, as
they fear that it will directly or indirectly
damage their environment and sources
of livelihood. The massive scale of
digging, tunneling, blasting and heavy
construction at the dam site is leading
to acute deforestation, destruction of
the local agriculture, flora and fauna,
depletion of perennial drinking water
sources, devastating landslides, etc.
In the past, several villages have been
destroyed due to landslides caused by
the underground tunneling and heavy

Party of India has defended the people
of the Muslim faith, as well as the
peoples of Kashmir, Manipur, Nagaland
and other states from state terrorism.
It has worked to unite the people in
defence of their human, national and

Activists of several mass organizations in
Himachal Pradesh have united under the
banner of the Himalaya Policy Campaign
Committee (HPCC), calling upon the
central and state governments to order
an immediate halt to the construction
work of the Karcham-Wangtoo Project.
They are demanding a judicial inquiry
into the police firing of December 9,
trial and punishment of the guilty police
officers, as well as immediate release of
all persons arrested and withdrawal of
cases against them.
The struggle of the tribal people of
Kinnaur against the devastation of their
homes, livelihood and environment is
part of the innumerable struggles being
waged by people in different parts of
the country, in defence of their land,
natural resources, livelihood and rights.

attack on the tribals of Kinnaur and fully
supports their just struggle. 

Communist School conducted by CGPI – an urgent necessity for
the working class
Sir,
I am writing to thank you for the reports
on the Communist School conducted
in New Delhi in November 2006. I am
also happy to know that the CGPI is
planning to conduct a series of schools
across the length and breadth of the
country. The topics you have chosen
are commendable and the study of
the momentous events of the last
150 years which include the Paris
Commune, the Bolshevik Revolution,
the rise and fall of the Party of Labour
of Albania all represent topics on which
the working class must necessarily
be educated so as to be prepared for
the momentous events that are to
come. While there is no doubt that
the objective conditions will ripen to
a point when a mass upsurge against
capitalist exploitation of the masses
is inevitable, what is not inevitable and
what requires great and conscious
Party statement in support of the December 14 General Strike
Sir,
I am writing to express my delight at
the statement released by the CGPI on
the eve of the All India General Strike
of December 14, 2006, where the
support of the Central Committee of
the Party was extended to the strike
and to all its sponsors, participants
and supporters. A noteworthy feature
of the statement which expresses the
great maturity of the party is the non-
partisan tone of the statement, with
the sole preoccupation of the CC being
the unity of the working class the the
advancing of its aims. I commend the
CC on this achievement.
Reports of the strike indicate that it
was a success. The strike is supposed
to have been near total in the CPI(M)
ruled states, with normal life being
paralyzed. However, it was pointed
out that in West Bengal, the IT sector
was exempted from the strike by the
CPI(M) which was among the main
sponsors of the strike through its

preparation is that the working class
is ready to seize the moment to lead
the masses out of the impasse in which
they find themselves.
The school comes at a historical moment
that marks the beginning of the 90th
year of the Bolshevik revolution, due to
which the world had not been the same,
as has been pointed out elsewhere. It is
also a time when the Indian bourgeoisie
has come forth very clearly on the plank
on which it stands. It plans to emerge
as the leader of an imperial India built on
the broken backs of its toiling peoples,
or a hopelessly decimated and crushed
peasantry, of an enslaved working
class. This is an India where the rights
of individuals and of nationalities will
be subordinate to the rule of capital
and profit above and beyond all other
considerations. It will also be an India
which will increasingly be a threat to
its neighbours. It will be an India which
trade union federations. As a member
of the revolutionary camp, I find these
contradictory approaches very confusing
indeed. It would be interesting to know
on the basis of what theory can such a
state of affairs be justified. Even worse
is the profound disorientation such a
move is likely to cause in the minds of an
average member of the working class.
It may also be said that the CPI(M)
would very much like to have the cake
and eat it too. On the one hand they
would like to be the fountainhead leading
the Indian working class [to what end,
it is not clear], while on the other hand
continuing to reassure the venture
capitalists and big players of the IT
sector that West Bengal is a favourable
destination for their investment. They
would very much like to blunt the

alternative vision of what the future for

must assert that barring communism,
all the options that face the working
people of India is that of disaster. The
schools conducted by the CGPI will
assist greatly in equipping the working
class in working towards this cherished
goal. I look forward to the documents
of the schools and the content of the
lectures in portable form,
electronically or in print at the earliest
convenience of the party publication
departments.

Condemn atrocities on dalits
Sir,
I am writing to you to express my
profound anger and anguish about the
unspeakable crime that took place in the
Kherlanji village of Maharashtra in which
4 innocent Dalit persons were cruelly
lynched and killed, the women among
them subjected to atrocious sexual
assaults, as though to terrorize all the
Dalit people in the area. As always, the
Indian state appears totally paralyzed,
while the reality is that it is an active
abettor and party to such crimes that

forced the government at the centre
to formally recognize their rights.
However, the manner in which the Bill
was passed exposes the real nature
of the political process in our country,
where laws can be enacted affecting
the lives of masses of people, with
utter disregard for the demands and
aspirations of the affected people.
According to a statement released
by the Campaign for Survival and
Dignity, which has been actively
organizing the forest dwellers in the
struggle for their rights, not only were
the recommendations of the Joint
Parliamentary Committee ignored, but
the very definition of “forest dwelling”
has been manipulated in such a way
that 90% of tribals and other forest
dwellers will be excluded from eligibility
for their rights under this law. Entire
categories of the most vulnerable
non-tribal forest dwellers have been
excluded. The demand that gram sabhas
be empowered to verify the rights over
the forest land has been rejected and
the power remains in the hands of the
state officials and bureaucrats. Through
a series of legal loopholes in a number
of its clauses, the law denies the forest
dwellers the right over their resources
and sources of livelihood as well as the
right to prevent destruction of the
the country. The Indian state always
shows great alacrity when it comes
to arresting organizers of workers
in factories, organizers of protests
against forcible eviction of homes, and
carrying out worse activities against
those that sees as its enemies,
whether it is so-called terrorists in
Kashmir or the North-East, Naxalities
in AP and Chattisgarh, but appears
to be weak kneed when it comes to
bringing to book those carrying out
atrocities against Dalits, tribals and
other sections of society marginalized,
humiliated and subjected through the
forests. The forest dwellers have not
accepted the Bill and are determined
to continue their struggle. They have
declared that they will step up their
organization and mass mobilization,
in the coming months. Through their
active participation in the struggle they
have to build their local committees of
struggle, as the real organs of people’s
power in their areas.
In their struggle, the forest dwellers
are not alone. Throughout the country,
the state of the big bourgeoisie is
ruthlessly attacking the rights of
the peasants in the countryside over
their land, the rights of the workers
over their slum dwellings, the rights
of the traders and middle sections
to earn their livelihood, in the towns
and cities. All these attacks are being
carried out with the full force of the
state machinery, to enable the biggest
Indian and foreign monopoly capitalists
to reap their super-profits through
the savage exploitation of the land,
labour and resources of our people.
Regardless of which parliamentary
political party is in power in any specific
area, the attacks are the same. And
all the affected sections of the people
are getting organized and fighting back
against these attacks on their livelihood
and rights.
The struggle of the forest dwellers is
a part of this common struggle and
its fire has to be directed against the
state of the big bourgeoisie. All the

millenia of rise of Indian society. Indeed,
the sad events that followed in which
the famous Deccan Queen train was set
on fire, undoubtedly by miscreants, will
lead to a situation where in the public
mind scores are now settled. Such a

demand for justice for the victims of
Kherlanji.
