“Ally Unlocked”

By: Cdt 3C Bernard S. Gundao Jr.

Battalion Commander

During the conduct of their Courtesy Call to the Regional Director, Philippine
National Police Regional Office 4A, the PNPA Cadets took their time to visit the newly
established Corps of Cadets of the Philippine Public Safety Academy located at the
same camp. It was the first exposure for the Philippine Public Safety Academy cadets to
other cadets. The cadets introduced themselves and asked questions that would help
each other grow and develop in the cadetship. After some talks, the PNPA cadets were
given a glimpse of what it looks like to be a PPSA cadet by visiting the barracks area of
the PPSA.
The activity surely did help the PPSA cadets in having the vision of how to
manage and construct the cadet corps with the guidance of their co-cadets from the
PNPA. It made a historical milestone for both academies to unlock another ally. Being
an ally leads to a higher level of engagement in the future given that both academies
will be the source of officers from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire
Protection, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. Through constant
engagement, we can be able to acknowledge and consider our undeserved
concessions in the different aspects of our respective cadetship, and hopefully,
somehow, we can support each of our fellows who does not benefit the same way.
