Sub: TSBIE - Intermediate Public Examinations, March 2024 –
Grant of Exemption from attendance to Private candidates
for Arts / Humanities only (without college study) and
Change of Group – Reg.

It is to notify that grant of Exemption from attendance to private candidates (without
college study) to appear for Intermediate Public Examinations to be held in March 2024 with
Arts / Humanities combinations will be considered on payment of the prescribed fee.

The TSBIE is resolved (vide ref. cited) to conduct of Practicals / Internal Assessment
Test is introduced and implementing for English subject under Part-I, i.e., Practical Manual
(A Handbook of Communicative English) to both General & Vocational streams, and effected
from IPE March 2024 for 1st year candidates and from IPE March 2025 for 2nd year
candidates.

The candidates who were granted exemption from Attendance (without college
study) for English subject under Part-I (must be considered as new to study
Intermediate courses during the Academic year 2023-24 for the first time), and
these candidates shall have to appear for Internal Assessment Tests and Final Assessment
Test as per same schedule on par with general students, given by TSBIE from the same
Government Junior College at which they have paid the examination fee for IPE March 2024
as is being done in the case of Environmental Education, and these candidates can have the
complete details (viz., Validation rules, pattern and related guidelines and submission of
practical record books etc.,) from Principals of the Junior Colleges in Telangana State
concerned shortly.

The fee structure and the due dates for payment of exemption fee and submission of
online application for Grant of Exemption are as follows:

The prescribed fee is Rs.500/- (Rupees: Five hundred only) for Grant of Exemption.
The fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted in case the candidates found are
ineligible to appear for Intermediate Public Examinations, March 2024.

The incomplete applications and applications received without enclosing original
qualifying examination certificate(s), Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate together
with Eligibility Certificate in respect of candidates who have passed the qualifying
examination other than S.S.C., of Telangana State will be rejected summarily without any
further correspondence.

ELIGIBILITY CONDTIONS:
i) Candidates who have a gap of one year after passing the qualifying examination
i.e., S.S.C., or its equivalent are eligible to appear only for first year in IPE March
2024 and if the gap period is two years or more, they can appear for both 1st and
2nd year in IPE March 2024 at a time.
ii) Further the 2nd year failed candidates who desire to change their Optional Subjects
from Sciences to Arts / Humanities and for Change of Group in Arts /

Humanities from one faculty to another as per the Rules of the Board will also
have to apply for “Exemption from Attendance” on or before the due dates given
above.

iii) The 1st & 2nd year Intermediate course passed candidates can appear for Second
Language as Additional Subject.
iv) The candidates who have passed Intermediate Public Examinations with B.P.C. group
and desire to appear Mathematics only as Additional subject.
v) The candidates who have passed their SSC or its equivalent examinations from any
Board / University of other than Telangana State have to obtain Eligibility Certificate
from Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, Hyderabad and upload the
scanned copy of the same along with the online Exemption application.

vi) All private candidates who are granted exemption from attendance and who
intended to appear for 1st or 2nd year IPE March 2024 for the first time will have to
answer the papers as per the syllabus prescribed for the Regular students.

vii) The candidates are directed to apply for attendance exemption online by visiting
website tsbie.cgg.gov.in and they shall upload the scanned copy of the original
SSC (X standard) pass certificate, TC (Transfer Certificate) / without school study
certificate and other required certificate like Eligibility / Migration etc., in the
website. The candidates have to pay the requisite fee through online only. The
application received by post or in person will not be considered.
