meetings or conduct workshops to ensure all employees understand the ins and outs.

Employers can fire you over what you put on social media, even if it's outside of work and has
nothing to do with work. A work relationship is based on trust and good faith. Posting
inappropriate things on social media can disqualify you from your dream job.

Posts exhibiting excessive cursing, pictures of hard partying, or extreme political opinions can
reflect on your professional life. Employees should also have a way of approaching things, by
watching how they speak to other people on social media or at work. Deciding on whether to post
personal images on social media is a challenging. decision as many businesses want to connect on
a personal level with their social media audience.

Unprofessional content is defined as holding or consuming alcohol, inappropriate attire, censored


profanity, controversial political or religious comments, and controversial social topics. Be it
negative or positive, your social media presence could give them a sense of your character.
employees must be cautious about what they say about the company itself and their colleagues,
