Representation:

Step 1 –Place the empty EPS box in the 7 ply outer carton. Place the Thermabricks (frozen
to -10 deg C) inside the EPS box as per the arrangement shown.ie. 6 at the bottom and 3
each on either side.
Please note: The arrangement is shown in the open to have a better view of the
placements.

Step 2— Place a 20mm EPS separator above the bottom Thermabrick pad arrangement
and 10 mm EPS separators on either sides of the payload and covering the Thermabricks
as shown above.

Step 3—Make an outer 3- ply pay load box of dimensions 475 x 300 x 155 mm.
Similarly make 2 inner boxes of dimensions 460 x 290 x 75 mm to replicate the final
payload. Each inner box has a single layer of plastic film liner on the inside and contains 6
mineral water bottles of 1 ltr each to make up for a total volume of 12.0 ltrs.as shown
above. (The mineral water bottles are maintained at a temp.of + 5 deg C)
Place the data logger in the bottom inner box in such a manner that when the two inner
boxes are placed one above the other horizontally inside the payload box, the data logger
is positioned at the centre of the box.Seal the inner boxes with packaging tape and close
the flap of the outer pay load box and tape it to prevent loss of energy.

Step 4—cover the payload box with a layer of plastic film as shown above.

Step 5—Now place the payload box inside the EPS box containing the 12 nos. Thermabrick pads
and the EPS separators as shown above.

Step 6—Place a 15 mm separator on top of the payload box and place another 4 Thermabricks on
top of the EPS separator ( all frozen at -10 deg C) as shown above. Hence a total of 16 nos of
Thermabricks in dimensions of 155 x 150 x 30mm and each weighing 575 +/ - 25 gms are placed in
the shipper.
Step 7— Close the lid of the EPS box and seal it with a packaging tape.
The flaps of the outer shipper are secured with a packaging tape and a data logger is
mounted on the outside to record the ambient temperature of the shipper.
