SEEKING

Equity actors of all ethnicities, backgrounds, gender identities, body types, and abilities are

PREPARATION
Come warmed up and dressed to dance. A combination will be taught. Dancers should bring
character heels, jazz, tap, and ballet shoes, as well as knee-pads. You may be asked to demonstrate
acrobatic skills or tricks if you have them available to you. Dancers will be asked to sing. Please
prepare 16-bar cuts of two selections (uptempo and ballad) in styles appropriate to the shows. Bring
sheet music and your book; an accompanist will be provided

Due to high attendance and studio capacity for this call, you MUST pre-register. Please note that all
auditions are by appointment only. Members must schedule an audition appointment online in
advance in order to attend this audition. There will be no walk-ins, alternate lists, or any
appointments scheduled on the day of the audition. Sign-ups will begin on January 3rd at 9:00AM
CT. The deadline to submit for the ECC Singer and ECC Dancer Calls is Friday, January 26 at
11:59pm CT.

throughout the show, ages late teens to early 40s. The show is entirely sung thru and everyone in it
must be a strong singer with a wide range. Primarily rangy high baritones, or tenors with strong low
ranges who sing to G2. Also seeking strong belters up to D5.

[ENSEMBLE] Singer/dancers to play a wide variety of characters including Tiny Joe Dixon, Dave &
the Sweethearts, The Stepp Sisters, The Tuxedos, Charlene, Joann, M.C., Stage Manager, Little
Albert, Mr. Morgan, The Tru-Tones, Dwight, fans, reporters, stagehands, party guests, photographers,
Xlm executives, etc.
[ENSEMBLE] Singers and dancers of all genders, ethnicities, abilities and types, to portray various
roles throughout the show. Crew Members (Pilot, Sailors); Sea Creatures; Mersisters (Aquata,
Andrina, Arista, Atina, Adella, Allana); Gulls; Maids; Chefs; Animals; Princesses. Puppetry skills are a
plus.

excellent pop/rock voices in the style of Sara Bareilles. Must have excellent comedic timing and be
able to play a range of characters comprising the community in which the story takes place.
IN THE HEIGHTS
[ENSEMBLE] Latine, Black, and AAPI singers and dancers of all ages and types with great pop voices
who are proXcient with breakdancing, commercial-style hip hop, contemporary, and salsa on2.

roles throughout the show, including passengers, photographers, bartenders, FBI agents, and other
fun featured characters. Great comic timing and excellent tappers!
[THE ANGELS: PURITY, CHASTITY, CHARITY, VIRTUE/ENSEMBLE] Characters are female (cis, trans or
non-binary), any ethnicity, age 20-40. Reno’s traveling back-up singers, dancers and showgirls with
great comic timing. Strong voices, great personalities and be excellent tappers!
[THE SAILOR QUARTET/ENSEMBLE] Characters are male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity, age
20-40. A strong singing quartet (1st tenor, tenor, baritone, real bass) featured vocally throughout the
show. Four strong voices that sound great together, and they are excellent tappers!
[BISHOP HENRY T. DOBSON/ENSEMBLE] Character is male (cis, trans or non-binary), any ethnicity,
age 40-60. A well-respected missionary; certain, stoic, benevolent. Very full of himself. Great
vaudeville timing. And taps!
