CALL FOR APPLICATION AS CENSUS ENUMERATORS ON COMMUNITY

POVERTY ERADICATION SURVEY TOBE CONDUCTED IN 25 DISTRICTS

OF MALAWI
Malawi National Anti-Poverty Commission (MANAC) is inviting interested
individuals to work as Census Enumerators on community poverty
eradication survey that is going to be conducted in 25 districts starting from
February to June 2024.
QUALIFICATION
Applicants must be the age of 18 and not more than 50 years with the
following addition requirements
1. Must have MSCE (Malawi School Certificate of Education) with at least
pass in Mathematics and English, one of the subject must be at least
credit pass.
2. Or must have JC (junior Certificate of Education) with at least grade C
in mathematics and at least grade C in English.
3. Must be trustworthy and able to use smart phones with minimal
supervision
4. Must be willing to be allocated in hard to reach areas during the
survey
 TRAINING AFTER SELECTED
Due to nature of this survey all selected applicants will undergo 2 weeks
training in their respective districts before actual survey. The aim of training
is to orient Census Enumerators on how to capture data and send it using
smartphones. All selected applicants will be given new smartphones with
free internet Data to be used on this survey.
INTRODUCTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING FEE
The administrative processing fee has been introduced due to nature of
paper work involved and Certificates that is going to be given to participants
after training. Consideration is made to the people staying in remote areas
who are willing to take part in this survey as Census Enumerators hence
mobile administrative processing payment has been introduced to only
number available on application form. Take note that application is through
application form, fill in your information and send the form to us using
postal address or email available on the application form
DUTIES OF CENSUS ENUMERATORS IN POVERTY ERADICATION SURVEY
 Visiting Malawians in their homes to conduct interviews and collect
demographic data
 Explain the objectives of surveys and procedures to people who are to
be interviewed
 Analyze the authenticity of the information of the information
provided by ensuring direct contact with each family member within a
family
 Ensure that the supervisor is kept informed of completed assignments
and progress
MODE OF APPLICATION
All interested applicants must fill in the application form and send it through
post office or email available on application form.
