There will be four sessions of workshops throughout the day.

Vendor Alley, lunch from Texas Roadhouse, and light

snacks throughout the day will also be available. Once registered, girls will receive emails with further instructions
on how to sign up for each individual workshop.

Below is a preview of classes that will be available

Dungeons and Dragons: Almost everyone has heard of D&D, one the most famous tabletop Role-Playing
Games (RPG) there is. This class will teach you some of the basics of this ever-popular game with
featured instructors who have been playing for years.

Patterning your Cosplay I: Learn the basics of patterning cosplay with some no-sew essentials. Girls will
create their very own functioning cosplay boots in this class. Must bring a set of flip-flops that will be
destroyed in this process.

Slime Science: Explore different types of slime and the chemistry behind them with Mr. Science (a
featured instructor at the Lexington Comic Con)!

Wizards Unite: Niantic (creators of the Pokemon app) have recently released Wizards Unite!-a Harry
Potter themed game with real-world experiences. Phones are encouraged in this class as we will be
exploring the new app in detail!

Intro to Drawing: Cindy Ramey, who writes and inks Poecat Comix of Ringtail Café Productions, will be
leading you through some basics of inking your stories. This class would be a great fit for those
interested in the ‘Comic Artist’ Badge, but is open to all who would like to learn this process.

Magic: The Gathering: Typically referred to simply as “Magic”, this is truly the original card-trading
game. Girls will learn the basics of defeating their opponents in this game by summoning creatures,
using artifacts, and, of course, casting some spells!

Yokai: Explore the mystical world of Yokai with a special guest instructor from the Boyd County Public
Library. Yokai are supernatural and/or mystical beings from Japanese folklore. While this is meant to be
a fun, instructional class, it is not recommended for those sensitive to spooky topics.

Concepts in Comics: Cindy Ramey, writer and inker of Poecat Comix, will be going over how to form
your ideas into viable concepts for comics. Bring your ideas and questions for Cindy to help you with!

Special Effects Makeup: Skyler Stanley, a former Girl Scout, will be demonstrating and assisting girls in
different special FX makeup techniques. Girls will use what they learn to create a wound on a partner.
No special knowledge is required before taking this class- it is beginner friendly!

Catapults: Think you have what it takes to storm a castle? You need to get over their walls first! Design,
build, and test your catapults with Mr. Science (an instructor from Lexington Comic Con) in this class.
Girls will even get to take home their catapults at the end of the day!

Divination: While Divination is a vast subject and must be studied for a number of years to truly be a
master, we will lead you on a brief course to get you started. This particular workshop will focus on
Palmistry, Tessomancy, and Ornithomancy (reading palms, tea leaves, and bird actions) to begin you on
your Divination journey.
Potions: Knowledge of basic potions is a requirement of any witch, so we are excited to offer this cool
intro to potions workshop. Girls will explore basic ingredients and work in small teams to create their
very own potions (cauldrons will be provided for you, no need to bring your own).

Warhammer: If medieval fantasy, miniature armies, or tabletop games are your thing, this class is for
you! Join us as we explore the basics of Warhammer, an adventurous tabletop game that’s been popular
since the 1980’s!

Wizarding 101: This workshop will focus around a discussion/ Q&A focused on some of the most famous
females in the wizarding world. There will also be a trivia portion of this class, with prizes handed out to
those with the most Harry Potter knowledge.
