Project note

At IAC, we believe that the holistic support system, the people involved, and the values
we wish to uphold, will foster the creation of a truly inclusive community.

An authentic sense of place

India Autism Center at Sirakole is planned as an integrated 39 acres community

neighbourhood for individuals with autism. The tradition of such integrated development
is generally characterized by its ability to create an ideal form of community, where
architecture and landscape co-exist to create a powerful sense of identity and an
authentic sense of place.

Design approach took us through a journey of their world, understanding their

apprehensions their susceptibility to overwhelming sensory traffic, and their way of
understanding and identifying things. This project not only helps those in need but also
us as designers as we learn to be more empathic and respvonsive to the users of our
designed space.
