This research project aims to provide a new way of Transportation

Payment using Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) for local passengers

traveling from Carigara to Tacloban and vice versa, It focuses on designing and

implementing paying transportation fares that can aid in lessening the physical

contact of the passengers with the driver as well as with the conductor.

RFID-Based Transportation Payment System on Local Buses is one way

to help lessen some of the commuters' everyday problems in bus payment, such

as not having enough change for a considerable amount of bills.

Nowadays, transportation still uses cash for payment which wastes much

time, and most of the time, there is a problem associated with this method and

obtaining balances. Automated machines and digital wallets are in demand

because they make numerous activities more accessible and efficient for users.

This application requires minimal human intervention to do its job. This paper is

about developing RFID-Based Transportation Payment System for local

passengers traveling from Carigara to Tacloban. This study focuses on designing

and implementing paying transportation fares that can aid in lessening the

physical contact of the passengers with the driver as well as with the conductor.

Furthermore, to test the validity and reliability of the system, a total of thirty

respondents participate in the conduct of the study and were ministered by the

survey questionnaire. The researcher used a likert scale and compute the Grand

Mean to determine the magnitude and intensity of the sample. Then the scores

were tallied and tabulated consequently. Each item was treated to determine its

significant result and computed accordingly.

Overall, the RFID-Based Transportation Payment System is now feasible

to implement not only in Carigara can benefit from the new process, but all the

whole municipality and nearby municipality.
