1.The Sahara Desert is located in North Africa, spanning across


several countries including Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Libya, Mali,
Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia, and Western
Sahara. It is the largest hot desert in the world.

2.Four climatic features of the Sahara Desert are extreme heat


during the day and cold at night, low and unpredictable rainfall,
strong winds such as the harmattan, and occasional
sandstorms.
3.Ladakh region is located in the northern part of India, in the
state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated between the Kunlun
mountain range in the north and the Great Himalayas in the
south.
4.Ladakh experiences cold desert climate with extreme
temperatures and low precipitation. Summers are short and
mild, while winters are long and harsh with temperatures
dropping well below freezing. Precipitation is scanty and mostly
occurs in the form of snowfall.
5.Economic activities in the Sahara Desert primarily include
nomadic herding, agriculture in oasis areas, and limited mineral
extraction. In Ladakh, economic activities consist of tourism,
