My name is........ As-Syuja'iyah Junior High School.

Let's pray Allah and Sholawat to Rasulullah SAW. Because of their blessing and guidance.

Hi, ladies and gentlemen. Good morning/afternoon/evening.how are you? ............. I'm fine too thank
you.

Well, happy artist, anyway can you guess how I am? How old I'm ladies and gentlemen? You know,
I'm ....... years old. But my friends said that I'm still elementary school student. Am I, isn't it? Yeah, I'm so
short and you can see that right ever after I wear this shoes. They called me childish. Actually, I'm still
young. HAHAHA. Because I love imagination.

Well, ladies and gentlemen.

Imagine for a moment that you're on an adventure, and you've arrived at the "Island of Fixed Mindset."
Everything on this island is, well, fixed! The trees are always the same height, the animals never learn
new tricks, and the weather forecast predicts the exact same weather every day. Sounds a bit dull,
doesn't it?

In the world of a fixed mindset, people believe that their abilities, intelligence, and talents are set in
stone, just like the unchanging landscape of our imaginary island. They think, "I am who I am, and
there's no changing it." It's like they've built a fortress around themselves, defending their current
abilities as if they're treasures to be protected at all costs.

Now, let's meet some of the characters on this island:

Firstly, Sam the Stagnant: Sam, a resident of the Island of Fixed Mindset, is a talented artist. However,
he's afraid to try new art forms or techniques because he believes that if he's not instantly amazing at
them, it means he's not truly talented. As a result, he never explores his full artistic potential.

Secondly, Tina the Test-Avoider: Tina avoids taking on challenges because she's worried about failing.
She thinks that if she fails, it means she's not smart. So, she sticks to what she knows and never ventures
into uncharted territories of learning.

Oscar the Obstacle-Opposer: Oscar dislikes facing obstacles or difficulties. He believes that if he's
struggling.

There's no room for growth, no excitement of discovering new talents or abilities, and certainly no
opportunity for learning from mistakes.
Like Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta'aalaa said in An-Nur verse 40 :

‫و َم ْن َّلْم َي ْج َع ِل ِهَّللا َلُه ُنْو ًر ا َفَم ا َلُه ِمْن ُنْو ٍر‬

And he whom Allah has not granted light-for him there is no light

Now, while our imaginary island can be a fun way to think about a fixed mindset, it's important to
remember that in the real world, we don't have to be stuck on such an island. We have the power to
leave it behind and set sail for the "Land of Growth Mindset."

In the world of a growth mindset, people believe that their abilities and intelligence can be developed
through dedication, hard work, and learning.

So, the key takeaway here is that we all have the choice to leave behind the Island of Fixed Mindset and
venture into the exciting Land of Growth Mindset. There, we can experience the thrill of personal
growth, the joy of learning, and the satisfaction of realizing our true potential.

The choice is yours, and I hope you'll choose growth!

Thank you so much for you everyone. And I said

Wassalaamu'alaikum Warohmatullaah Wabarakaatuh
