The successful candidate will be required to carry out 10 hours of work per week, to support both promotion
and training activities and is designed to fit around your academic timetable within our Monday to Friday
08:00- 17:00 operating hours.
This is an exciting role that will demand creativity and flexibility as you will engage people from across the
university, including academic staff, students, and their supporting professional services. This is an ideal
opportunity for students who have a real passion for IT and improvement opportunities.
In addition to on-the-job training, it includes several hugely beneficial training days, covering a range of
topics including Lean Six Sigma methodologies (including industry wide frameworks such as DMAIC, Root
Cause Analysis and process mapping) plus access to a range of sessions designed to support ongoing
development.
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed students who can work effectively with both technology and
people.
Responsibilities:
Optimisation - Fully utilising the systems we currently have in place and ensuring everyone has the
same system capabilities.
Promotion of Systems – to engage with staff who need further support with learning and to promote
good practice of tools to students who aren’t aware of certain features.
Training – to support CIE and IT Services in training staff, to target user groups who need support
locally. Also, to help with promoting and developing further resources for all students in need of
help.
Accessibility – Support device awareness raising amongst student body and provide training in-
school to staff.
Continue working to provide a bridge between student and staff understanding – work with
departments to set up partnerships to assist in troubleshooting, or help us to conduct evaluation,
you will have a huge role in being an interface with the learner community.
Engaging with peers to obtain vital feedback on optimisation opportunities.
Duties:
Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as required.

Evidence of experience of working in a customer- Experience of developing content with online content
