Overview, "The Mystery of Original Sin" article, and Bible passages. Cite all of the resources
used with in-text citations. Include all the sources you cite on a reference section at the end of
this document.
Based on at least two of the listed topic Resources, type your answer to the following questions
in the box beneath each question.

1. What is revealed about human nature (from Genesis 1-2)? Cite and reference the textbook.
Your answer in 100-150 words:

God is viewed as a cherishing, strong, and simple being that made man in his own picture.
Man was made by God to be unrivaled among the wide range of various creatures in the
world. As people, we were given God's similarity to govern over any remaining animals.
In the tale of creation, the first man and lady known as Adam and Eve were made by God
to live free in the Garden of Eden. God made Eve from the ribs of Adam to address the
affection and solidarity they would share with one another. This was expected to reinforce
conjugal connection, concordance, and love. Human instinct is the very thing that makes
humankind unmistakable from the wide range of various creatures on the planet and the
remainder of creation. Human instinct empowers humankind to think, feel, and love. One
of our most noteworthy qualifications among humankind and the remainder of creation is
our capacity to reason. This is the one-of-a-kind gift that God presented to us. Reason
empowers humanity to consider our own tendency and determine information on God's
will, there could be no other making of God that has a nature equipped for reason. Due to
this, human instinct empowers us to have a more noteworthy comprehension of God's vast
and complex plan. Our exceptionally human instincts reflect large numbers of God's
credits. Since humanity is made in the picture of God, we can be merciful, dedicated,
honest, kind, patient, and just. In us, these qualities are mutilated by wrongdoing, which
additionally lives in our temperament.

2. What are the consequences of the fall for human nature (from Genesis 3)?
Your answer in 100-150 words:

© 2021. Grand Canyon University. All Rights Reserved.

Makes sense of the outcomes of the fall. Ladies, they will encounter serious agony in
labor, and excruciating work will carry birth to youngsters. Ladies will likewise long for
the spouse, and he will lead over her. To men, the ground is reviled due to man, and he
will eat from it every one of the times of his life, however, it will just move with difficult
exertion, and produce thorns and thistles. A man will just eat by buckling down. At the
point when man bites the dust, he will get back to the ground where he was once made.
Beginning 3:19 states, "For dust you are, and to clean you will return" (The Sacred Book
of Scriptures, New Global Variant, 2011).

3. What is revealed about human purpose? What does it mean for humans to flourish, in other
words, to achieve spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being? Cite and reference "The
Mystery of Original Sin" article.
Your answer in 100-150 words:

This story shows broken relationship starting with one human then onto the next as well as
among mankind and God. Cain and Abel gave contributions to God in love, and God
looked on Abel's contribution with favor, yet Cain's contribution was dismissed. Cain's
love, while apparently remotely right, appears to show that genuine love isn't simply an
outside adjustment to what God wants however a genuine heart change that is the
consequence of affection. "Albeit the type of Cain's love appears to have been right, the
account proposes that Cain himself was the issue. The unremarkable depiction of his
contribution recommends that he was only, maybe obediently, making a halfhearted effort"
(Block, 2014, p. 61). Since Cain had a fallen nature that was leaned to sin, Cain was the
issue. Cain's negligence for both God and his sibling shows the degree to which mankind
has fallen. Cain, like Adam and Eve, is banished from the presence of God (Beginning
4:16)

4. How would pantheism or atheism (choose one) view human nature, human purpose, and
human flourishing?
5.
Your answer in 100-150 words:

Human instinct is an idea that explains essential qualities and being of people that are
viewed as regular. Presently centered in the acknowledgement that there are no Gods or
divine beings, the perspective on nature is twisted in the quintessence that everybody is
accountable for their activities regardless of sentiments, perspective, acting, or anything of
the sort. Furthermore, that one's morals emerge not profoundly, however, from human
science; they tend to be regular, individual, or as an effect of local area communications.
Design is the capability of something for the most part placed in place by the maker of the
thing; a human object is made by the maker. Presently, in the secularist view, there is no
maker, so what is the human reason? In this way, fundamentally the human reason is what
one creates in oneself, the thing "being expert of your own destiny," which is the
agnosticism view. Confidence without activity is dead; secularism has faith in human
flourishing from the perspective that one's diligent effort pays. You center around
something, and you will obtain the same consequence of the work you applied. The
conviction that you can hang on and the universe will figure things out is killed on the
grounds that they have no faith in the presence of a more prominent power.

6. The question, "How can an all-powerful, all knowing, and all good God allow suffering?" is
called the problem of evil and suffering. Briefly summarize the Christian worldview's
response to the problem of evil and suffering. Cite and reference the topic overview and/or
the textbook.
Your answer in 100-150 words:

When people suffer, it often makes them reflect on life and view it as a gift because it
often strengthens their faith and trust in God. People have to understand that through the
obstacles of suffering, God is there to help them see through it (Paterson 2019).
Throughout the Bible, the people who endured suffering have always proven that God is
powerful and good. God will love us eternally and will always be there for us to get
through it all. God has a plan for everyone. Things happen for a reason that is only known
to God (Swinton 2017). You must accept it and trust fully in Him. He is the only person
that will free you from suffering. These experiences are often a sign that God wants you to
strengthen your relationship with Him and to depend on Him

Part Two: Consequence of the Fall Today

Select a Christian organization from the "Christian Organizations That Address a Consequence
of the Fall" list provided in the topic Resources.
Based upon your selection, research the issue that organization addresses. Use and cite at least
two academic resources from the GCU Library. Cite all of the resources used with in-text
citations. Include all the sources you cite on a reference section at the end of this document.

1. Based on your research, address the following: highlight how the consequences of the fall are
evident in the issue(s) that the organization addresses; include statistics, causes, and impact
on people (victim, perpetrator, others as appropriate).
Your answer in 75-100 words:

I proceeded to conduct extensive study regarding the Salvation Army, a Christian

organization. This is a worldwide charity that assists a variety of members of the
community, including alcohol and drug rehabilitation, soup kitchens, life expertise to help
people climb out of poverty, homeless shelters, and far more. Sadly, "more than half a
million people face homelessness in America every day," according to the establishment,
which has failed humanity (Salvation Army). Every tale has two aspects, yet addiction,
homelessness, human trafficking, and a slew of other economic justice challenges are
unavoidable at times. Some people have never had the same advantages as others, resulting
in a disparity

2. Describe how this issue creates dehumanization and diminishes human dignity. Include
statistics, causes, and impact on people (victim, perpetrator, others as appropriate).
Your answer in 75-100 words:
Vagrancy has become such an enormous quandary currently, and while a piece of me
accepts that it is because of individuals' "wrongdoings" that carried them to this point, I
also accept that he had been a casualty of the framework on the grounds that numerous
others "trespassed." Unreasonably many individuals who are devastated or dependent were
naturally introduced to that society and have not been able to defeat it. At the point when
you're in sure conditions, the line isolating good and bad, as I would like to think,
obscures. Illegal exploitation is to be sure a remarkable example of dehumanization in
social orders because these people comprehend what they are doing is heinous. In these
circumstances, a sensitive equilibrium can't possibly exist. From now onward, indefinitely
quite a while, the Salvation Armed Force has cooperated with the congregation to address
various financial and social liberties issues (Venter).

Part Three: Analysis of a Christian Organization's Solution

Use and cite the organization's website, in addition to the topic Resources. Cite all of the
resources used with in-text citations. Include all the sources you cite on a reference section at
the end of this document.
Write how the Christian worldview ministry that you selected is combatting the consequence of
the fall.

1. What organizational statement reveals that this organization is operating from a Christian
worldview?
Your answer in 250-300 words:

After closing the Church of England in 1865 to arrange its own strict, free local area for
many individuals, William Corner and his associates founded the Salvation Army. The
allies of this gathering were called “Soldiers of Christ” or “Salvationists.” Since its
founding, the association's current goal is "to teach the good news of Jesus Christ and to
solve human problems in His name without division" by supporting those who have
transgressed or need guidance in their lives (The Salvation Army). The Salvation Army
strives to reach beyond networks by offering agreements that recognize human corruption
and help fight it. They believe that by spreading Christianity and keeping these core
standards ingrained in their business, they can influence people's decisions. They also
believe that “The Highest Jesus Christ atoned for the sins of the whole world through His
suffering and death, so that whoever believes in Him can be saved,” regardless of previous
bad decisions. They welcome individuals from all walks of life to strengthen them while
continuing to seek the promise of God and Christianity. They feel little obligation to
abandon anyone, and members also see it as their goal to help anyone who comes to them
and are inclined to trust in God. The way the Salvation Army views all people is an
unmistakable impression of God's Bible teaching. As Isaiah said: “Don't worry, you will
not be humiliated. Try not to be afraid of embarrassment, you won't be embarrassed. You
will not remember the shame of your childhood” (Isaiah 54: -4). God is ready to help any
individual who needs to help himself.
2. Explain how the organization uses a God-centered worldview (as defined in the "The
Mystery of Original Sin" article) to address dehumanization and restore human dignity.
Your answer in 250-300 words:

Shuster placing Christianity and God at the center of its purpose, The Salvation Army is
committed to treating people as whole people. In her book "The Mystery of Original Sin",
Marguerite Shuster emphasizes the importance of placing God at the center of a Christian's
life and how this can lead them in the right direction. Additionally, the Salvation Army
claimed that God seemed to have a solution to all their problems and if they could
demonstrate how God's doctrines would lead to redemption, they would be less in need of
help. more theirs. Shutter shows how important it is to put God at the center of one's life
and how things will inevitably go wrong if you don't. The Salvation Army also believes
that placing God at the center of your life reduces the opportunity to commit sin.
According to Shuster's article and the teachings of the Salvation Army, the evil nature of
humanity is expressed in people's livelihoods, but temptations and sins can be avoided with
proper preparation and faith in God's word. According to Romans 8, people will be able to
overcome the dangers of the world if they accept God's message. If individuals are willing
to put God at the center of their lives, they will be freed from their sinful nature.
