STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

1. What is the socio-demographic profile of the Business Establishments in terms of:

a. Number of years manage
b. Number of personnel
c. Profitability
2. What types of business did the owner’s manage?
3. What coping mechanisms did the owner do to sustain the business?
4. What are the problems encountered by the owner?
5. What can be proposed to solve the problems met?

RESEARCH DESIGN

The descriptive-qualitative design of research was used in this study. The descriptive-qualitative
design covers the characteristics of people, materials, Socio-economics characteristics such as their age,
education, marital status and income etc. The qualitative nature data is mostly collected like knowledge,
attitude, beliefs and opinion of the people.

The study will used this method to determine the socio-demographic profile of the business
establishments, types of business, coping mechanisms to sustain the business, and problems
encountered by the business owners.

THE SAMPLE

A total of 10 Business owners in the Municipality of Prieto Diaz were taken as respondents.
Simple random sampling was done for the sample selection. This sampling method is conducted where
each member of a population has an equal chance of becoming a research participant, this is said to be
the most efficient sampling procedure.
