AFFIDAVIT

I, AMIE B. DACURO, married, of legal age, Filipino, and a resident of

Brgy. Boblaran, Zumarraga, Samar, under oath, depose and state: that-

1. I am the wife of Michael J. Dacuro (Michael), the complainant in

the administrative case filed against respondent Leonilo N. Rapanan, a
public school teacher at Camayse Elementary School, Zumarraga
District, Zumarraga, Samar, for alleged Conduct Prejudicial to the best
interest of Service;

2. On 15 May 2022, around 7:30 pm, after we went to the cemetery

to visit our departed loved ones, we had a small family gathering at my
residence located at Brgy. Boblaran, Zumarraga Samar. We had dinner
together, and we placed tables just outside my house for our other
relatives who also joined our celebration;

3. Unfortunately, while Virginia J. Berrin, (Virginia) the aunt of my

husband dancing, Jose "Joy" Blasco Jr., the brother-in-law of the
respondent who came inside from his house, apparently under the
influence of liquor, approached us and ran amok as he instantly threw a
water container in front of us. Angrily, he shouted saying, facing
towards the direction of Virginia J. Berrin, saying, "Virginia Berrin!
waray ka lanod dinhi Boblaran!) (Virginia Berrin! You don't have any
place here in Boblaran! ). At that particular time, we were then all
stunned and panicked, and scared;

4. As a result, Michael approached Joy and told him, saying, "Kuya

Joy, ano ito?" (Kuya Joy, what is that?) But instead of talking to him,
Joy punched Michael hitting his face, which caused him to fall to the
ground. Fearing for his life, Michael tried to get up and run inside my
house, but the respondent caught him offhand, and also kicked and
punched him, hitting the left-back portion of his shoulder, which again
caused him to fall to the ground. Simply put, Michael was mauled by
Joy and the respondent.

5. Virginia shouted and told Michael to run inside her house. The
Respondent then chased him. Since Riza C. Gadaingan (Riza), her house
helper, was just near the gate, she blocked and prevented Joy and the

 respondent from further hitting Michael again. Sadly, the respondent
suddenly punched Riza, also hitting the upper part of her body;

6. After Virginia told Michael to run and get inside her house, the
wife of respondent Mirasol B. Rapanan and Prema G. Blasco mauled
Virginia, which caused her to lose consciousness for a moment;

7. Consequently, the commotion was stopped when our barangay

captain, the respondent’s brother, arrived. I was shocked when he
shouted at Virginia, blaming her for instigating all of the commotions
and conflicts in our barangay. Virginia did not answer back anymore
because she was mauled and stunned by what just happened. After that,
we immediately went inside her house and closed the gate because we
were so afraid for our safety. But still, the respondent continues
shouting outside uttering defamatory and degrading words, “birat ka na
ayam ka! Gawas dida!”, (You son of a bitch! Get out!)

8. In support of my affidavit is a copy of the video (saved on a

USB) of the aforesaid incident recorded by my daughter Avrielle B.
Dacuro;

9. I executed this affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the preceding

facts and for another legal purpose it may serve.
