1.0 FEES PAYMENT POLICY

The four possible options are:

4.1 The whole amount payable at the beginning of the semester.
4.2 Pre-payment in three monthly installments, which should be cleared on or before the
last day of the late registration period.

 4.3 Staggered fee payment plan facility which attracts an interest levied by the
University from time to time.
4.4 Students can approach EDULOAN.

NB: The Institution shall charge a late registration penalty of US$200.00 for any registrations
outside the late registration period in a particular semester. This is meant to act as a deterrent to
discourage late registration as it creates problems in the administration of examinations which
may negatively affect the Zimbabwe Open University brand. It is also hoped that the penalty
will help inculcate a culture of fees prepayment and eliminate potential debtors.

3.0 FEES STRUCTURE FOR EXTERNAL ZIMBABWEAN AND SADC REGION

PER SEMESTER
The fees for external Zimbabweans and students in the SADC region is inclusive of a levy of
US$200.00, for a maximum of four courses. Thereafter, a levy of US$50.00 shall be charged
for every extra course. All students shall continue to pay a Building Levy of US$25.00 (every
semester), a Technology Fee of US$100.00 (every semester) for the other Faculties except the
Faculty of Technology where students pay US$125.00 and a Caution Fee of US20.00 (paid
once on admission).
