Summary
Mexico, officially known as the United Mexican States, is a country located in the southern
part of North America. Bordered to the north by the United States, to the south and west
by the Pacific Ocean, to the southeast by Guatemala, Belize, and the Caribbean Sea, and
to the east by the Gulf of Mexico, Mexico is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, diverse
landscapes, and vibrant traditions. Mexico is a popular tourist destination, attracting
visitors with its historical sites, pristine beaches, and vibrant cities. Destinations like
Cancun, Mexico City, and archaeological sites such as Chichen Itza draw tourists from
around the world. Mexico has one of the largest economies in Latin America, driven by
industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, and services. The country is known for its
exports, particularly in the automotive, electronics, and oil sectors. Mexico has a rich
cultural heritage influenced by indigenous civilizations (Aztec, Maya) and Spanish
colonization. The country is known for its vibrant traditions, art, music, and festivals like
Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The official language of Mexico is Spanish, which is
spoken by 90 percent of the people. Indian languages of the Aztecs, Mayans, and other
tribes are still spoken throughout the country. Originally there may have been more than
200 roots of native languages
