3 PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS:
3.1 Review and become familiar with

ntire procedure before beginning calibration process:
Unless otherwise designated, and prior to beginning the Calibration Process,
censure all test equipment voltage and/or current outputs are set to zero (0)
‘or turned off, where applicable. Ensure all equipment switehes are set to the
proper position before making, connections or applying power.

NOTE
Unless otherwise specified, verify the results of euch test and take corrective
action whenever the test requirement is not met, before proceeding.
4.1 TEMPERATURE CALIBRATION TYPE J:
4.1.1 Connect ‘Type J (Lron-Constantan) thermocouple wire from the T/C/C to the rear
the Data Logger, observing polarity. Set T/C/C input switehes to: OFF, OFF, OFF, OF
4.1.2 Turn TI and test equipment to ON and allow a one hour warm-up.
4.1.3 With the ‘T/C/C in CALIBRAT

421 Connect Type K (Chrome! Alumel) thermocouple wire from the 'TYC/C to the rear terminal panel of
the Data Logger, observing polarity. Set T/C/C input switehes to: ON, OF, OFF, OFF.
‘Turn the TI and test equipment to ON and allow a one hour warm-up,
With the T/C/C in CALIBRATE, apply the first values in the Applied column of Tuble 3
