SURPLUS & OBSOLETE PACKAGING PROCEDURE

Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs has a responsibility to its customers to provide a true to specification
product. A procedure has been implemented to ensure the removal of any surplus and/or obsolete
packaging from the process.

Any changes to product specification, e.g. artwork, packaging etc. are communicated directly to QC
and the packing station manager immediately. The following process is to be following when any
packaging becomes obsolete:

1. All relevant specifications are to be stamped ‘obsolete’, dated, and signed by the commercial
director / QC.
2. All relevant staff are to be informed of the changes, and the specification removed/replaced
from the production file.
3. All relevant packaging / obsolete product is to be identified, located, stamped ‘obsolete’ and
removed from the process. (stored out of way so to prevent misuse)
4. All relevant packaging / obsolete product is either sold or destroyed.
