Ma’am Merlyn Manalo from Baybayin, Rosario, Batangas graduated a course of
Bachelor of Business Administration Major in Marketing works at Bangko Kabayan
located at General Luna Street Poblacion San Juan, Batangas for 24 years. Bangko
Kabayan is an “Economy of Communion” enterprise and it shares this mission along
with 700 other companies worldwide. Bangko Kabayan has the vision of being a leading
rural financial institution, one enabled by the Divine Providence and generating His
presence amongst themselves as a work community united in His name, through the
delivery of personalized and relevant financial services in an excellent manner, with a
preference for the small and micro- entrepreneurs of Batangas, contributing to the
development of the countryside. Bangko Kabayan offers loan to micro clients like group
loan or individual loan without collateral, they are also offer agricultural and commercial
loan with collateral. In deposit product they offer lower maintaining balance in regular
savings, checking accounts. It is a choice of work for Ma’am Merlyn one of the reason is
near and she like her work at the same time the culture and values of Bangko Kabayan
and also the benefits that she received from this bank institution. For 24 years in the
service she started as a New Account Clerk, then afterwards a teller, Customer Relation
Assistant, Senior Teller and at present she is now a Branch Operations Head for more
than 10 years, and as Officer of Bangko Kabayan every 3 years there is a
transformation within the assignment of the branch. Bangko Kabayan has a plenty of
benefits like healthcard, rice allowance, longevity pay or length of service incentives,
travelling allowance, midyear bonuses, profit sharing, 13 th month pay and Christmas
bonuses. The Bangko Kabayan offers the same products and services but it differs from
other bank institution in such they offer more on commercial, how the bank treats their
employee and how they serve the clients, and the most important is their vision and
mission which differs from other bank institution. Their vision is with a God-centered
united workforce, we will be the preferred financial institution of MSMEs in Region 4,
delivering relevant financial services with excellence and their mission, Bangko
Kabayan is committed to become the region’s partner in economic development by
providing quality financial products and services to MSMEs and individuals in the
communities we serve. Through continuous growth, we will provide optimum returns to
our shareholders as well as opportunities for our employees to develop themselves as
fulfilled and holistic individuals, aware of the important role they play in the lives of
others.
