Cabanga-an Commnunity Enterprise Association

RETAILING, PRODUCTION AND

PROCESSING
Please describe your business idea for the grant request including the amount
requested and your contribution (maximum Grant Request is (Php.
100,000.00).

Not all people in the community have rice field thus other people are
dependent in the market to purchase rice especially those who are earning
minimum daily wages. These people are buying rice after they received their
earnings daily. Market and other stores can be found in the town proper if it is
available in the barangay it cost bit higher and it is an additional burden to the
people.
 The Cabanga-an Community Enterprise Association (CCEA) agreed to start
a business of buying and selling of palay and rice in the community in short
“Bigasan sa Barangay” to make rice available in the barangay in a very
reasonable price. In this idea the association would be able to help the low
income members of the community.
 Our proposed budget is One Hundred Thousand Pesos (100,000.00)
including the whole operations such as capital and expenditures in running
the business.
Product: RICE
Rice is an important staple to the
Philippines and a food constant to million of
Filipinos. Meals in the Philippines will not
be complete with out rice.

The project will give an options where the

members in the community can sell their
palay in an appropriate price. Thus the
palay will be converted into rice where the
consumers can buy in a reasonable price
located with in the barangay only.
PEOPLE
This project aims to serve the CCEA members and the entire
people in the community. To give service is the main priority
to help people to lessen hunger.

 The first consumers would be the members of the Cabanga-

an Community Enterprise Association (CCEA) to patronize
the product and at the same time to serve as partners in
running the business.

 People in the community are expected to be the next

consumers. They will no longer go to the market or other
store to buy rice and to spend some amount for their
transportation.

 This will encourage people to engage farming where they

can sell their palay in an appropriate price.
PRICE
Buying and selling price will be based on the market. Price should be in minimal cost but
then the Association will earn profit to maintain the capital and to sustain expenses and
other services. Thus people will patronize the product and the business will continue its
operation gradually.

 As stated in the Project Proposal as of November 2022, the price of palay is fifteen
pesos 15.00 per kilo which cost Six Hundred Ninety pesos (690.00) per sack. If it is
converted into rice 1 sack of rice cost 2,100. Less expenses of one hundred ninety five
pesos (195.00.00) that includes milling, hauling and sack. The estimated profit will be
four hundred twenty five pesos (425.00) per sack of rice.

 The association will purchase sacks of rice and this will be sell retail price or whole sale
so that the rice is available during non-harvest season.

 Estimated profit in a sack of rice less expenses will range from 150 to 200 per sack
PLACE
If the project proposal will be approved and granted the
association has decided during the pre-plan activity that the
business will be at the other portion of the association office
