Socio – Economic Study

This chapter will discuss the Socio Economic benefit of the business to the society

especially to the locality. La Espresso Yourself Café aims to contribute to the social economic

status, environmental protection of the people living within the area. The business will not only

be focusing on generating profits earned but also a business that would be willing to help and

promote the community, economy, society and environmental benefits in order for the locality to

develop and improve more.

6.1 Contribution to the Philippine Economy

Businesses serve as one of the factors that helps the economic growth. It has its important

role in the development of the national economy. As the business operates, it will create

opportunities for the people engaged in this kind of industry. It creates employment that will

contribute to the economy by decreasing the number of unemployed workers. Through this it

will improve the standard of living of the employees as well as it will provide the needs and

wants of the customers. In addition, as the business run day to day it will generate profit and that

profit may lead to business expansion. Since businesses are required to pay certain taxes, the

shops taxes to be paid will contribute to the Bureau of Internal Revenue whose collections are

spent for the countries programs and projects.

6.2 Contribution to the Government

The proposed business will help the government through an additional income such as

the tax, permits and licenses given by the business. This taxes collected coming from the

business will serve as additional help for the projects or other expenditure of the government like

public service, health assistance, educational assistance, infrastructure, growth and development

structures in the municipality.

6.3 Contribution to the Society

The business goal is to improve the standard of living of individual. Through this

business it will create job opportunities as well as it will give the needs and wants of customer in

terms of this kind of industry. Hoping that this café will be known in order to help the society

and benefit the employed individuals and their families.

6.4 Contribution to Employment

The Proposed business will pay workers according to their performance at the same time

compensate them with a proper rate and incentives, benefits according to DOLE in order for

them to motivate and do their work happily.

6.5 Contribution to Environment

The business will also propose a proper handling of waste such as the use of the 3 R’s the

reuse reduce and recycle and the “Garbage in Garbage out” project in which all your garbage

should not be thrown anywhere promoting the clean and green environment.
