1 SCOPE

The purpose of this document is to modify and update the general specification :

- GS ELE 011 Electrical requirements for package units

in order to match the requirements and specificity's of the DOLPHIN Project for the offshore
part.

2 MODIFICATIONS AND UPDATING

§ 3.2 - AREA CLASSIFICATION

Applicable standard to protection mode (n) is EN 50021.

No Break supplies :
- Instrumentation / AC 230 V 1 2 IT - unearthed
- Instrumentation / DC 48 V DC 2 IT - unearthed
- Emergency lube oil pumps 110 V or 24 V DC 2 IT - unearthed
- Electrical switchboard control 48 V DC 2 IT - unearthed

§ 4.1 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEM VARIATIONS

The following duty voltage levels shall be selected for the electrical system at rated
frequency of 50 Hz. Equipment supplied from normal distribution network will be suitable for
continuous operation with voltages ranging with ± 10% of rated values and frequency
ranging with ± 2% of rated values.

§ 6.2 - MOTORS

Anti-condensation heater is required only for motors rated 22 kW and above.

§ 6.3 - MOTOR STATERS AND SWITCHBOARDS

Supplier shall not provide MCC’s.

§ 6.6 - CABLES

Minimum authorized cross sections for electrical cables are :

- power : 2,5 mm²

- lighting : 2,5 mm²
- control : 1,5 mm²

§ 6.7 - LIGHTING

The fitting shall be fed 230 V AC from the normal service 400 V AC - 3 phase - 4 wire
distribution system.

§ 6.13.1 - TRACE HEATING

The trace heating distribution shall be fed 230 V AC from the normal service 400 V AC - 3
phase - 4 wire distribution system.

§ 6.13.2 - ANTI-CONDENSATON HEATERS

The anti-condensation heaters under 1 kW shall be fed 230 V AC from the normal service
400 V AC - 3 phase - 4 wire distribution system.
The switchboard and panels heaters shall be fed 230 V AC from the normal service 400 V
AC - 3 phase - 4 wire distribution system.
Control of anti-condensation heater inside enclosure of switchboard and panel within
Supplier’s scope of supply shall be carried out by hygrostat instead of thermostat.

§ 10.1 - COMPANY SCOPE

The Company supplies the MCC (if required).
