1. What were the most economic changes in the Philippines during the 19th century?

- Demand for sugar and hemp in the Philippines has been strong. Sugar and hemp are imported from the

Philippines and brought to Europe. Commercial agricultural growth led to the emergence of a high class.

2. How did these economic changes affect the lives of Filipinos during that time

- The impact of economic change in the 19th century was huge, as the country’s economy grew stronger.

It has become a trade as well. The population in the country is also increasing. Gradually evolving unlike

in the past. Agricultural activities, fishing, trade balances also strengthened. The number of exporters in

the market is also increasing

- In today's time, what the Filipino people are worst scenario is the hardship caused by COVID 19. It

has not been easy for people because some of them have lost their jobs. This pandemic has a huge

impact on human life because many are dying, starving due to lack of income. Other people only rely on

the assistance of the Government. As a student, only following Health protocols is the effective solution.

Reflect on why Rizal highlighted the story of moth in the last chapter of his Memorias. What was

the message intended by Rizal through this story? Is the moral of the story still applicable for

today's generation? What does the light symbolize?

- This story reveals the greatness of Gat. Jose Rizal because he loves the Philippines. He did not care

about the danger of light , he would take so that he could only place Philippine independence in the hands

of the Filipinos. Now that Covid 19 is widespread, it can be considered that Frontliners like the Doctor and

Nurse are the ones approaching the light.

That is, light symbolizes danger , Even though they knew they would be infected with Covid 19 they still

continued to treat the patient in need. This light is the Covid 19 that even if they die approaching it, they

don't care because they want to save the life of every Filipino.
