You are on page 1of 1

Right click on your desktop .. select NEW > Text document name it time.

reg
paste the text below into it. change the NTP server to your preferred NTP server.. leave it as
pool.ntp.org if unsure.. . once saved . you can double click on it to import the settings to the
registry..
read https://www.ntppool.org/en/use.html to figure out the best NTP server to use.. it may be
one from your internet provider, it might be google's NTP time.google.com or if you are in
the USA, you might want to use a NIST time server https://tf.nist.gov/tf-cgi/servers.cgi if you
are in the UK then use uk.pool.ntp.org
An alternate to this is to use Dimension 4 or MeinbergNTP software.. I use MeinbergNTP but
with these registry changes it is not needed anymore.
The following text is to be pasted into time.reg

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Parameters]
"NtpServer"="pool.ntp.org ,0x9"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProvide
rs\NtpClient]
"SpecialPollInterval"=dword:00000708
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\Config]
"MinPollInterval"=dword:0000000a
"MaxPollInterval"=dword:0000000f
