Unit 3 Listening Assignment
Listening Assignment Each day I listen to hundreds of different conversations, songs, and
lectures. While I listen, I have also realized that I encounter a lot of other noise around
me. Listening begins the moment I wake up, and it does not end until the moment I go to
sleep. While doing this listening log, I learned a lot about how I listen and why I listen.
The first day that I really began to pay attention to what I listened to, I found out that I
listen to a lot of things for enjoyment also known as appreciative listening. It all started
when I got woke up by roommate s alarm clock going off to the song It Girl. Now, I do
not know if I can completely consider this appreciative listening because I did not enjoy
getting woke up that much, but I do enjoy that song. At that moment, when the alarm
went off, I had no other noise surrounding me and this was the only time throughout the
day that this occurred. I also found myself listening to music as I drove to Nora Springs
for my field experience class and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Before doing this log, I did not realize how much of this I did every day. Empathic
listening occurred in my days while doing this log when I listen to my roommates talk
about if they were physically hurting from a workout and how they hoped it would get
better. These conversations occurred typically while icing and we would discuss our
pains and give each other the support that we needed at the time. The other times when I
caught myself empathic listening was when I was talking to someone who was stressed
out about school. It may just be that they are struggling in one class but I listened to them
because that is what they needed at the time. Again, from doing this log I learned that
empathic listening is crucial and every person needs someone to listen to them
empathically. As the listener you do not always have much input but just being there is
typical all the person

Political Differences Between Football And Football
Politics doesn t belong in football is what I heard my Dad say as a Jeremy Corbyn banner
was raised in the kop. I watch football to get away from Politics is a comment I saw in
/r/soccer and that got me thinking, isn t football the worst place to come to get away from
politics.

I want to start with my overall point. Politics and Football are intricately intertwined.
Politics often manifests itself through Football, whilst Football has also been used for
political propaganda. One of the ways this is achieved is through local and national
identities becoming associated and represented by Football clubs. This brings us to the
first example of politics being intertwined with Football with FC Barcelona and Real
Madrid.

The club not only has become enriched with a political background, but in fact their
biggest rivalry and possibly the biggest rivalry in the world has its political roots. El
Clasico is a rivalry defined by distance, the distance between what the two clubs stand
for and represent. With Madrid representing Spanish nationalism and Barcelona
representing Catalan nationalism.
During the Franco regime Catalans saw Madrid as a tool Franco would use to humiliate
the city in another domain. The example most cited in the book Barça was the 1943 Copa
Del Rey. Barça held a 3 0 lead going into the second leg, with a few controversial
decisions. The home fans who would boo the officials would be labeled in the media as
enemies of the Spanish stat . Rumoured in this book
