Course Title: Building and Enhancing New Literacies Across the Curriculum
Course Description: this course introduces the concepts of new literacies in the 21st
century as an evolving social phenomena and shared cultural
practices across learning areas. This 21st century literacies shall
include (a) globalization and multi-cultural literacy, (b) social literacy,
(c) media literacy, (d) financial literacy, (e) cyber literacy/digital
literacy, (f) eco-literacy and (g) arts and creativity literacy. Field-
based interdisciplinary explorations and other teaching strategies
shall be used in this course.

(CHEMISTRY)
Course Title: Inorganic Chemistry (Lecture and Laboratory)
Course Description: The course covers fundamental concepts of chemical kinetics,
chemical equilibrium (including acid-base chemistry and
solubility equilibrium), thermodynamics, and electrochemistry. It
also deals with solution chemistry, specifically reactions in
aqueous solutions as well as group properties and reactions of
elements as an introduction to qualitative analysis of cations
and anions.
ELECTIVE / FILIPINO
Rizal – A study of the life, works and writings of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the national
hero and martyr, as they relate to the socio-political situation of the Philippines
during his time and its implication to our present time. It traces the hero’s life,
ideals, concept of education, good government, and nationalism as embodied in
his writings, particularly the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.
ASTRONOMY
A course for non-science majors covering the various motions observed in the heavens and the
fundamental physical laws that govern them. The course also includes a discussion of the
theories behind the formation of the solar system and other astronomical bodies.
ANALYTIC GEOMETRY
The course offers a broader and deeper understanding of Mathematical principles needed by
any prospective teacher of mathematics. It highlights the integration of geometric and algebraic
concepts. With a proper exposure to basic calculus concepts, teachers will gain more
confidence in helping and guiding their students’ development of competitive skills in today’s
highly technological society. The discipline of learning a calculus course allows prospective
teachers to acquire higher order thinking skills that will enable them to implement any changes
in the mathematics curriculum. The use of graphing calculators and computer algebra systems
is highly encouraged.
PAGPAPAHALANG PAMPANITIKAN
Nagbibigay kasanayan sa produksyonng mga malikhaing obra at sariling likha ng mga
estudyante sa iba’t ibang midyum ng interpretasyon tulad ng sabayang pagbigkas, madulang
pagbasa, reader’s/chamber theater, pantomina, aplikasyon ng multimedia, atbp.
TEACHING PROFESSION
The course deals with the teacher as an individual, classroom teacher, community teacher and
global teacher. This emphasizes professionalization to cover teachers’ status and levels of
professional rewards and professionalism to improve competencies.
ECOLOGY
This is an introductory course on the general concepts and principles pertaining to the complex
pattern of interaction between the physical environment and the biological communities on
earth. Emphasis is also given on the current environmental issues and concerns.
ESP
Sharpen language skills through the use of discipline-based materials for the development of
academic proficiency.
INTRODUCTION TO LINGUISTICS
Develops ability to use the conceptual frameworks and schemes of linguistics and literature in
understanding literary language.
LANGUAGE RESEARCH
Develop skills in applying principles and approaches in research to find answers to questions in
language learning and teaching.
UNDERSTANDING THE SELF - Nature of identity; factors and forces that affect the
development and maintenance of personal identity.
READINGS IN PHILIPPINE HISTORY - Philippine History viewed from the lens of selected
primary sources in different periods, analysis and interpretation.
THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD - Globalization and its impact on individuals, communities and
nations, challenges and responses.
NSTP
The course is pursuant to Republic Act No. 9136, otherwise known as the National Service
Training Act of 2001, which mandates tertiary educational institutions to incorporate in the
collegiate curriculum a program aimed at “enhancing civic consciousness and defense
preparedness in the youth by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing
training in any of its three (3) program components, namely Civic Welfare Training Service
(CWTS), Literacy Training Service (LTS) and Reserved Officers Training Course (ROTC).
ENGLISH 0
English Plus is a review of 4 th year English which aims to focus on the understanding of the
basic grammar to improve the student linguistic competence and gain global mastery of the art
of communication.
PE 1
This course which is a requirement for a degree program is designed to diagram the physical
fitness of 1st year college students thru conditioning exercises and actual testing test.
Physical education courses help build up physical fitness by allowing students to increase their
endurance, strength and flexibility. The students will learn the effects of different movement
activities on their bodies. They will also discover and experience the level of strenuous physical
activity that their bodies can withstand.

Course Title: PE 1: Physical Activities Toward Health and Fitness 1
(PATHFit 1): Movement Competency Training
Course Description: This course reintroduces the fundamental movement patterns
that consist of non-locomotor and locomotor skills, which are
reintegrated with core training to meet the demands of
functional fitness and physical activity performance. Emphasis
will be on exercise regression and progression for the
enhancement of fitness and the adaptation of movement
competencies to independent physical activity pursuits. In
conjunction with fitness and wellness concepts, exercise and
healthy eating principles, periodic evaluation will be conducted
of one’s level of fitness and physical activity, as well as eating
patterns to monitor one’s progress and achievement of
personal fitness and dietary goals.
(OLD CURRICULUM)
Course Title: PE 3
Course Description: This subject deals with the individual and dual games such as
athletics, badminton and table tennis. It also includes the
facilities and equipment the basic skill mechanics and the rules
the different sports.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
1. Learn the history, rules, strategies and the players of
athletics, badminton and table tennis.
2. Develop the fundamental skills through participation, and
3. Develop desirable social attributes among student toward
the game.
4. Demonstrate leadership in performing the different games.
Course Title: PE 4
Course Description: This course deals with the higher form of competitive motor
play. Three (3) or more participants play showing their skills
and strategies and observing rules and regulations. This
course also aims to let the participants feel the joy and
satisfaction through team effort.
