· Wadia Hospital was established in 1926 by Sir Ness Wadia, a philanthropist and industrialist, in memory of his father, Nowrosjee

ee Wadia.
· The hospital was designed by architect George Wittet, who also designed the Gateway of India and the Prince of Wales Museum.
· The hospital was set up as a joint venture between the State Government and the Bombay Municipality to provide affordable comprehensive healthcare and super specialty services for women.
