Process of Graduating Grade 12 ABM Students in Pacita Complex Senior High School
The Department of Education has already prepared the possible Curriculum Exit for the graduating Senior
High School as a Career Guidance Program (DO 41, s. 2015) that will determine their career decision. Aligned with
the Curriculum Exit, various studies examine which Curriculum Exit is most preferred by graduating Senior High School
students. However, upon focusing on such an idea, there is an underlying factor that is being disregarded in most of
the studies, the relationship of Career Counselling Interventions to the student's chosen career pathway.
Although many studies have examined the factors of career decisions of many graduating Grade 12 students,
there is a lack of research discussing the relationship of Career Counselling Interventions to the career choices of the
students. This research gap limits the understanding of how this kind of counseling will directly affect the successful
career decision-making of graduating Senior High School students. Therefore, this study aims to explore how Career
Counselling Interventions will impose success in determining the suitable career pathway for the graduating Grade 12
ABM students of Pacita Complex Senior High School.
RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:
• Measure whether students who receive career counseling are more likely to make informed and satisfying
career decisions compared to those who do not receive such interventions.
• Establish the level of confidence that the students have in their career decisions.
• Determine the level of effectiveness of Career Counselling Interventions in having constructive career
decisions.
