Abstract
Digital media technologies are now fundamental to our environment of heterogeneous
computing and communication. It can be found on websites, social media, newspapers, and
magazines, as well as in fields like marketing and advertising. To draw the attention of customers
and convey information about products, everything that needs to be presented to an audience can
use digital and printed graphics, text, or motion. Nowadays, the internet and social media have
affected customer behavior and the ways in which businesses operate. Society can benefit from
social and digital marketing by lowering expenses, increasing brand awareness, and increasing
profit. The purpose, target user, platform, their product, features, and functions that may be
suitable to include in the application and the requirements that had been gathered from the client
are highlighted in this study.

Introduction
It is widely recognized throughout the world that starting a new small business in today's
market and surviving the competition from established and settled businesses is very challenging.
There is always a method to use digital media technology to raise society's income. We, a group
of four students, have been tasked with managing a society project for creating an appropriate
online or mobile application that helps in your society's sales promotion and consumer sales. In
today's fast-paced world, where everyone is pressed for time, the majority of people choose to
purchase their food and other essentials online. Starting an online business and selling goods via
a website or mobile application can help society improve its income. These platforms can also
help in product promotion and order collection. Customers today are attracted to products not
only because ordering products online is highly convenient, but also because of the way the
products look, how they can be used if they are simple to use, and how well they serve our
particular line of work or business.

The application I'm proposing here makes ordering a lot easier for both the customer and
the business owner. The system offers a variety of interactive, modern scarves with all of the
choices in a simple-to-use format. Customers can select one or more things to add to their cart
when they purchase. Before checking out, the customer can view all the order details in the
basket. The customer receives specifics of the order confirmation at the end. Orders are entered
into the database after they are placed and are retrieved very immediately. This enables the owner
to instantly review all orders as they come in and process them effectively and efficiently with
the most negligible possible delays.

Objectives:

● Analyze existing systems or websites that sell essential products like scarves or clothes

● Design and develop a prototype of Scarfhub web application.

● Analyze the Scarfhub system prototype.

● Help Miss Nik Nur Aina binti Mohamed Yuzahemy , our client, in effortlessly
marketing and selling her scarf products to Malaysian citizens so she may boost her daily
income.

● Provide marketing, collecting orders, and delivery process to the owner.

Purpose:

The main objective of the Scarfhub system is to enable any Malaysian citizen to order a scarf
from the selection offered by Scarfhub using only their mobile devices. Because the application
was via the website it was easier for the citizens to place orders without the need to download
any application on their mobile phones. The Scarfhub system's primary target market is
Malaysian citizens who want to purchase scarves like shawls or bawals in a range of colors and
styles. The technology will classify two main types of scarves—shawls and bawals—into plain
and pattern-based categories. These scarves will also be categorized by the system according to
the materials used. We are all aware that the application will only offer a few numbers of scarves
based on the fashion, supplies, hues, and designs prevalent at the time so if there is a new pattern
or design that needs to be added the owner can just add the pattern into the system. Due to the
fact that we will employ a delivery system to fulfill the order, it also helps the citizen to get their
order fast. The citizen will be able to place orders whenever it is most convenient for them by
using this Scarfhub website application or system, eliminating the need for them to physically
visit the store to purchase the scarf.
Flowchart
Structure of Application

The three primary logical components of this system's structure are the Web Ordering System,
the Orders Management System, and the Order Retrieval System. Customers can place orders
and provide essential information using a web-based ordering system. Order Retrieval System,
which is essentially the final logical component, enables consumers and the owner to keep track
of the orders placed, while Order Management enables the owner to manage what can be ordered
by the customers. Order information retrieval and display are handled by this component. In this
web application, users are required to create an account for the first time. They need to fill in
some details such as name, phone number, address, and location. After finishing creating the
account, the user can proceed with the login session. On the homepage of the system, users can
see there will be 2 types of scarfs that they can choose which are shawls and bawals. Users can
click any category they want which is plain or pattern-based. They also can look for the design
and colors that are under the category. Users can view all the items in the shop and add to their
cart the item that they want to buy. After finishing with all the items, users may proceed with
choosing the delivery address or pick-up by themselves at the Scrafhub shop. The user must then
continue with the payment. The user can track the item in the system after the session is over by
visiting MyPurchases. We will display the customer's purchases together with the date, time, and
location of the purchase there.
Features and Function
Features & Function Explanation

Login and logout Before they may act in the system,customers must
log in. When a customer logs in, the system is
informed of who they are and what they are
permitted to perform. Similar to that, once finished,
the customers logs out to prevent unauthorized
access to their data.

Add to cart The customer could add all the item that they want
to buy.

Remove item from the cart There will be a button provided for customers to
delete the item that they do not want in the cart so it
will not be included in the order when they want to
make a payment.

Create an account Customers need to create an account before they can


use the website . The system will provide a page for
the customers to fill in their information in order to
create an account.This will give customers access to
the website.

Payment method Customers could pay for their item in many ways
such as using credit/debit card or online
payment.After the payment is made the system will
provide a receipt and their order will be shown in
MyPurchase.

Real-time order tracking Customers could trace where their items are and
customers also could see the predicted delivery
period.

Search button The customers could find the item that they want
without the need to open all categories provided.

Digital Media Elements
1. Animation

❖ Animated elements are common multimedia applications. animation is a series of images put together to
give the effect of movement. In this project, we used 2D and 3D digital animation. Furthermore, rather
than just viewing a still image, the animation is very useful for illustrating concepts that involve
movement. Animation is used to add visual interest or bring attention to important information or links. It
can illustrate how things work or present information in entertaining ways. Animation can also include
interactive effects allowing visitors to engage with the animation action using their mouse and keyboard.
animation is known as a very powerful form of communication.
2. Graphic
❖ Graphics elements show relationship, hierarchy, and emphasis visually. They include backgrounds,
banners, glass, aggregators, separators, shadows, and handles. Images including photographs, illustrations,
drawings, clip art, icons, or any other non-text elements on a website or in social media is an examples of
graphics. In a multimedia context, graphics may consist of slide shows or galleries that a website or social
media visitor can view. They may have clickability that leads the viewer to another element, such as audio
and video. Graphics appear in many multimedia applications providing communication through attractive
visual effects.
3. Text
❖ The most fundamental element and most effective way to communicate in multimedia is text. Text is used
as headlines, subtitles, and slogans. Its purpose is to express specific information in other media. It also
involves the use of text types, sizes, colors, and background colors. For example, you can choose the font
and its size and color to set a tone or project an image, or you can choose the mood you want to evoke with
the background color. Text can make the intended message you want to convey through multimedia more
understandable. For instance, any other information can be accessed by clicking on text links.
4. Video
❖ Video is a visual multimedia application that combines a sequence of images to form moving pictures and
sound. Digital video comprises a series of digital images displayed in rapid succession. Digital video is
audio and video mixed to make a production. There are many advantages such as easy copying,
multicasting, easy sharing, and storage. Video can have an impact on websites and social media platforms
in a very unique and powerful way. We can inform the world that our business exists, spread the word
about our business, grab attention to show our visitors how to do something, showcase a new product,
build brand awareness, or even promote an upcoming event for a new product.
Summary
The Scarfhub system completely changes Miss Aina's daily income and the way her
business operates. Her business transformed because digital media technology gave a
new way for customers to purchase her products. The Scarfhub system has some positive
effects for owners and Malaysian citizens, but it also has certain drawbacks. The owner,
Miss Aina, benefits from the Scarfhub application in that she can increase customer
orders. In addition to her order being boosted more than expected, she need not wait for
the client at the Scarfhub store to purchase her product. It demonstrates how much more
straightforward it is for customers to purchase scarves. With the use of the Scarfhub
website application, managing customer orders has also become more organized.
Customers can also save money by not having to pay for tolls and car oil, which are
more expensive if they live far from the Scarfhub shop. Additionally, the Scarfhub
system offers discounts to users of the website. Every day, the app offered several deals
and coupons to Malaysian citizens. As a result, customers will use the apps more
effectively. They can get a lower price by purchasing the Scarf in large
quantities through the internet method rather than in person. Scarfhub apps also harm the
business owner and the customer. Data security poses the greatest risk to the customer.
The app's customer data may be hacked by an unreliable third party. The information can
be used for criminal activity and other negative deeds. Another drawback is that the
owner can receive more orders for scarves than they have in stock. Customers will
always place orders without hesitation because they can do it quickly and easily using
the online application. The owner becomes confused when trying to pack an order due to
the overabundance of customer orders. This increases the risk of packing errors. In
conclusion, any applications are beneficial to society as long as they are implemented
properly. With time, Scarfhub could grow even more and improve lifestyles for
Malaysians. Our technology enables the owner, Miss Aina, to effortlessly accomplish her
goals.
