My full
name is Nguyen Phan Thao Nguyen. I am 14 years old and I am a student in class 8A in Nguyen
Trai Secondary School. My favorite habit is listening to alternative and pop music, socialising
with my only adorable company. My topic is number …, talking about my favorite activity in my
leisure time. Now I would like start my topic. The Internet, TV,… have transformed the way
modern humans obtain information. However, reading still occupies an important place in my
whole daily life. I started reading books when I was in third grade, when a teacher told me the

meaning and value of reading. I spend almost 3-4 hours a day reading books. Books not only
open my knowledge, expand my vocabulary but also help me understand more about many
aspects of life. Books enable readers to travel to foreign lands without spending money. .
Additionally, i can easily gain information about fields that i am interested in through reading
books. reading books improves my one's writing and speaking skills. For instance, i could be
influenced by the writing style of my favorite authors. For a language learner, reading foreign
literature not only provides me with knowledge about the relevant culture, but also gives them a
chance to learn new vocabulary. Reading books is a also a form of entertainment. I meet my
stories and I lives in books; i feel sympathetic towards the characters’ Reading books makes
them happy and relieves my stress. In conclusion, reading books is so important and has many
benefits. It gives me knowledge and brings me happiness. To sum up again, i love reading books
