Art Essay

Writing an essay on the broad and intricate subject of art can be a challenging yet rewarding
endeavor. The difficulty lies not only in the vastness of the topic but also in the subjective nature of
art itself. Art encompasses a diverse range of forms, styles, and movements, spanning across
centuries and cultures. Trying to encapsulate the essence of such a multifaceted and dynamic field
within the confines of an essay requires thoughtful consideration and careful analysis.

One of the primary challenges is the subjective nature of art appreciation. What one person considers
a masterpiece, another may see as mere abstraction. Defining and defending one's interpretation can
be a complex task, as the appreciation of art often stems from personal experiences, cultural
background, and individual perspectives. Additionally, the evolving nature of art poses a challenge.
With contemporary art constantly pushing boundaries and redefining norms, keeping up with the
latest trends and movements becomes a demanding aspect of writing about art.

Researching for an art essay can be overwhelming due to the vast amount of literature available. Art
history, criticism, philosophy, and cultural studies are just a few of the disciplines that contribute to
the discourse surrounding art. Navigating through this extensive sea of information requires a
discerning eye to identify relevant sources and form a cohesive narrative.

Furthermore, expressing one's thoughts eloquently about visual and sensory experiences adds another
layer of complexity. Describing the emotional impact of a painting or the intricate details of a
sculpture demands a unique set of writing skills to convey the essence of the art form accurately.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of art involves tackling the inherent subjectivity, staying
abreast of ever-evolving trends, conducting thorough research, and articulating sensory experiences
with precision. It's a task that requires not just knowledge about the subject matter but also finesse in
conveying the richness of the art world through words.

Burnable Book Summary
Equity: the quality of being fair or impartial. In a situation of equity, all parties are
equally benefited and equally disadvantaged. There is a symmetrical balance of power.
But can there be equal power, and have the notion of power still exist? Because of that,
there is a dynamic of asymmetrical power. The system is designed to favor and
continually promote the ideology and control of the dominant group. And it s never
questioned. Though accepted by the masses, the asymmetry of power has caused
countless struggles, wars, and even an entire breakdown of that system. At some point,
the nondominant group gathers and rises to confront the dominant group, upsetting the
balance and challenging the dominant group s authority. When that power... Show more

While comparatively the church was made up of few people, those few could easily
define the rules of the greater society. They are a removed group at the top making
decisions that will directly affect those below. Folb argues that ...dimensions of
visibility and marked invisibility are keen indicators of the status hierarchy in a given
society... and I agree. The imagery and symbolism of St. Paul s as a space and place
allude to how greatly the church existed in the lives of the people. Only the king ranked
higher than the church. England today is situated in a similar fashion. While the
cathedral is not the largest structure in the city, newer buildings were designed to still
give it a visible presence. Prime Minister David Cameron outright stating that England is
a Christian nation proves how prevalent religion is in relation to government and people.
Titles of Minister and Prime Minister are subtle, yet effective reminders of that
The Importance Of Democracy
Democracy, in essence, is the governance of and by the entirety of the population. In a
democracy, the citizens exercise their power directly or through an elected representative.
Democracy is ideally a structure of governance that is by and for the people. These
definitions represent democracy in its most pure unadulterated sense, true direct
democracy(or participatory democracy). James N. Danziger in Understanding the
political world expresses that [...] participatory democracy [...] is when all the citizens
are active, direct participants in making public policy decisions. Realistically [there is no
true form of this political system]. (Chapter 7, Page 170) As inevitably experienced with
any political system, some are more equal than others. Though. in contrast to other forms
of governance, such as federalism, republics, monarchies, dictatorships, etc., democracy
has been proven to be the most efficient. As Winston Churchill famously said, Democracy
is the worst form of government, except all those other forms that have been tried from
time to time. Democracy should be promoted in its purest form, despite knowing that
true democracy is an unreachable and unrealistic goal. Promoting true democracy is
not naive, although it may be idealistic. Focusing on the basics provides a platform
where every person, despite their views or role in society, can partake in creating a fair
and equitable social order. Democracies can develop and become corrupt because people
can become
Diplomacy in the United States and Saudi Arabia
Growing up being a diplomat has always been a career I wanted to pursue. When I was
in elementary school my best friend s father was diplomat for the State Department.
He would constantly tell me stories of his travels from living in South Africa,
Germany, and Thailand. I already loved traveling and I was so in love with this job
because the career would be receiving a check for something I already love to do.
However it is not only about the traveling this job has many benefits including being
able to resolve world issues and help un developed countries with their issues. Being a
diplomat for the U.S government requires many requirements. There are not many
educational requirements a college degree is sufficient enough. What is really needed
is to pass the Foreign Service Exam. This exam consists of a written exam, oral
interview, and a negotiating exercise. After passing the test a medical and security
clearance is then required. Passing all those will allow you to be selected into the
Foreign Service for the United Statesgovernment. This process is said to be more
selective than Harvard University (Working Abroad). Although being selected and
qualifying for this process would be very honorable I am fortunate enough to have a
father and family members with great ties in the Saudi Arabian government. My father
used to work with a Prince of Saudi Arabiawhose uncle is the Foreign Minister of Saudi
Arabia. My father still remains in contact with him and he would be more
Bob Hoover History
Spectators gaze with wide eyes as the Shrike Commander screams to earth with both
of the two engines out, the pilot must be out of control! Then, the aircraft pitches up
and flies feet above the ground. The pilot then pulls up for a loop. The flight control
inputs are flawless as a perfect circle shape is make in the sky. When the aircraft
recovers, the pilot pitches up again and does a sixteen point roll. Still with no engines,
the pilot turns to final approach for the runway and lands just on the left wheel. The
aircraft then touches down both mains and comes to a haut. The pilot steps out of the
beach craft and the crowds sees the most ah inspiring aviator on earth, Bob Hoover. Bob
hoover, often called the pilots pilot , made history... Show more content on

Hoover tried to join the Tennessee Air National Guard, however, he was not eligible
for the flight training due to the fact he did not have the requirements. However ,
some officers let him get some flying in aircraft such as the dual control Douglas O 38.
Hoover then decided to join the U.S army. Hoover began his military flight training in
1941 in Helena, Ar shortly after the bombing of pearl harbor. As soon as Hoover took
his first lesson in the Stearman PT 17, the flight instructor knew hoover was way
ahead of the game and had huge potential. This thought was confirmed with hoover s
log book throughout his military career 1941 to 1948. Hoover began as a test pilot in
Casablanca testing planes before going into combat. He was then assigned to the 52nd
Fighter Group in Corsica. During his time there, Hoover would successfully shoot
down 58 enemy aircraft in a spitfire. Sadly, Hoover would eventually meet his match.
On his 59 nth in 1944 attempt in a dogfight, he was shot down by a german Focke
Wulf Fw 190. After being shot down, he was taken as a P.O.W. However, the germans
forgot what a skilled pilot Hoover was as one day, 16 months after his capturing,
Hoover spotted another Focke Wulf Fw 190 and made a successful escape in the same
aircraft that he was shot down with. Hoover did not stop there. After he escaped, he was
stationed at Wright Field to be test pilot again. Here, Hoovers skills
The Management Of A Small Institution
The origins of LJMU began with the establishment of a small institution which aimed to
help provide educational opportunities for the working people of Liverpool. The
Liverpool Mechanics Institute was founded by those with wealth, power, and influence
and by those who recognised the importance of education. These pioneers also
understood the impact that learning could have on individuals future career aspirations,
which in turn lead to the continued improvement of communities and on society as a
whole. This small movement was followed with the creation of numerous Institutes,
including; the Liverpool Institute and School Art, the Liverpool Nautical College, and in
1900 Irene Mable Marsh opened the IM Marsh campus to the public. These... Show more

This was the location in which I conducted the majority of my research in order to
gather the relevant data. Specific rooms in libraries at LJMU were also used when
recording observations and preparing notes for my study. Literature Review Some of
the initial ideas and founding features for the five factor model were theorised by
numerous different researchers. Researchers believe that the number of personality
traits can be reduced to five major factors, hence the Big Five and all other personality
traits can be placed within each of the five major factors. These beliefs were first
brought about by the findings of Fiske (1949) who was conducting a study in order to
gather supporting evidence for Cattell s 12 personality factors (Cattell, 1943; 1945a,
b), which eventually became part of his 16 Personality Factors (16PF) questionnaire
(Cattell et al., 1970). Initially Fiske was trying to collect supporting data for Cattell s
12 personality factors though he instead found support for five factors, this started an
explosion of research throughout the 1980 s and 90 s which continued to provide
supporting evidence for the five major factors. Since there were a number of
researchers trying to theorise their own personality models based around five factors
there seems to be some variance in the names provided for each of the personality traits,
however, the acronym OCEAN is widely used
A Critique Of Hedonism And Utilitarianism
Ethics and Morality Ethics ties together philosophy and human morality, it explores the
techniques and principles used to evaluate human actions on their goodness, badness,
rightness, and wrongness. In this paper, I am going to give a critique of hedonism and
utilitarianism. (and answer the question of what makes something good or bad) Humans
cannot be truly objective when it comes to morality. In theory, morality is supposed to
be unbiased, but when it is put into the hands of humans, there is always going to be
errors. Naturally, people pursue their self interest without thinking much about if it is
morally right or wrong. However, I do believe that God has given us a set of laws as to
what is right or wrong without being bias over it, but we can even interpret that in the
wrong ways. Some points that may be argued for certain things that are always truly
wrong include: rape, child abuse, or murder, but there are still times when murder may
not be considered wrong. For instance, we have a whole army to go out and kill in
order to support our country and keep us safe. Who would say that was wrong? Another
example of humans altering the definition of morality is there are things about today
that are considered right or wrong that were not that way in the past, such as slavery or
woman s rights. How can we call something wrong today and know it will still be that
way tomorrow? In today s society, people are constantly using their thoughts and feelings
to justify morality,
The Unified Science Center At Stockton For My Project
I decided to choose the Unified Science Center at Stockton for my project because it is
easily accessible to me, it is fairly new and as a business major student, I found the
building to be very impressive. We business majors don t have a place to hang out or a
quiet place to talk to people in our major. I normally just see people in the library or in
the hallway and if we have to do schoolwork we just go to a computer lab. However, the
Science and Math majors have a buildingfull of labs and classrooms. In my opinion I felt
like Stockton was trying to one up the Arts building with another new building. The
two buildings are similar in the way they both function. The Art building is a good
place for the Art majors to get creative for their assignments and while these students
are surrounded by artwork they could feel more of an impact from the atmosphere. The
Science Center is a good place to apply what the Science students have learned in class
and apply it in a laboratory.
Stockton University built this building to attract more science students. I think EYP did
a great job designing the building. If you never entered the building before, you can just
look at it from the outside and just tell that it is a building designed for Science majors.
The building itself does not have many classrooms, but instead it has a lot of laboratories
with state of the art equipment.
On the inside of the building it has a piece of artwork called the wave hanging from the
second floor and
