NEET 2024

The NEET entrance examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency for
admission to Medical, Ayush, and Paramedical courses. NTA conducts the NEET exams
only once a year. NEET is the sole entrance examination for obtaining admission to
MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses across India.

EXAM PATTERN

Each subject will comprise two sections. Section A will include 35 questions, while
Section B will contain 15 questions. In Section B, candidates can choose to attempt any
10 out of these 15 questions. For every correct answer, the candidate will receive 4
marks, and for every incorrect attempt, 1 mark will be deducted.

ELIGIBLITY
Candidates should score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which amounts
to 150 marks out of 300. In the case of reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, NT1, NT2, NT3,
VJ, SBC), candidates should score at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology,
equivalent to 120 marks out of 300

TIE BREAKING
In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks or percentile scores in the NEET
(UG) 2024, the inter-se-merit shall be determined as follows:
• Candidate obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the Test,
followed by
• Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry in the Test, followed by
• Candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics in the Test, followed by
• Draw of lots by using computer or IT with no human intervention
