linked to one another and the natural environment. The speaker seems to be a woman
possibly a motherspeaking to her child, because of her tone. In this poem the narrator
reminds us to not only remember the major things that happen to us but the small things
as well, the speaker does this by using repetition. Although the poem was written in 1951
it has a meaning that does not have a time limit. At first the poem centralizes the sky you
were born under then it gets broader by stating that you are this universe(lines 1,21). The
motivation the speaker has to speak out in this moment is to state that there are greater
things for us in this world and we must pay attention to them.Throughout the poem the
speaker uses repetition to explain how we need to remember who brought us here. The
word remember is used fifteen times throughout the poem to show importance and focus,
this is important to be used in this poem because it makes you become aware that you

Almost everybody in that town works in the fields, including Luis and his family, who
are close friends with Paul. Everyone works extremely hard to keep the trees alive and
healthy, especially during a freeze, a cold time that sweeps the county with ice every
few years. When Paul goes out to Luis family s field to help, Luis explains to him how
