La Edad Media, de los siglos V al XV
Edad Media

Difference Between The Shirt And Tie
Clark Duke says, I am a big fan of matching outfits in general . Matching is so
important because it can either make you the laughing stock, or make you the best
dressed gentleman in the room, not only looked as a well refined gentleman, but also
gaining the 1st impression respect from everyone in the room. To determining if
Professor Jason Pitruzzello s tie matches his outfit there are 3 different aspects to pay
close attention to; the colorof his shirt with the tie, the pattern of both the shirt and tie,
and his overall outfit scheme. Knowing these three things will help determine if
Professor Jason Pitruzzello s tie matches with the rest of his outfit.

The first and most basic phase of determining if his tie matches, is the color ... Show

This means that the primary colors of the shirt and tie form a triangle on the color wheel.
So we can see, according to the color wheel, that the primary colors match. In addition
to the color wheel we can assess the color with our naked eyes. Overall, the shirt is a
dark red color, and the tie fades from dark to light back to the dark red. This is important
because, according to TheDarkKnot.com, A monochromatic color scheme involves
choosing variants of the same color. This is exactly what is happening with the shirt and
tie combination. By using the color wheel along with the naked eye, we can easily see
that both methods show that the color combination of the tie and shirt match together.

The next aspect of determining if the tie matches is comparing the pattern of the shirt
and tie. The shirt is plaid, more specifically, a vertically running Tartan Plaid. In
comparison, the tie has a diamond pattern all the way from top to bottom. The biggest
piece to look at is the plaid pattern of the shirt. The pattern of the tie should be obviously
bigger than the pattern of the shirt. This is so the tie looks larger and can stand out so in
rather than getting lost in the pattern of the shirt. In this particular instance the tie does
its job, having the bigger pattern than the shirt because of the large diamond pattern of
the tie with the plaid pattern of the shirt. Because of this relationship, the pattern of the
tie matches well with the pattern shirt.

The Beauty Myth, By Naomi Wolf
THE TRUTH BEHIND BEAUTY
As a woman, have you ever faced a mirror, gazed at your reflection and scrutinized the
craters on your face, the excess flab in your stomach, the scars on your legs? Did you
recognize yourself, or did your reflection show you a stranger a monster? Did you turn
green in jealousy when you turned the television on or rummaged through the magazines
glossy pages as you stared at the flawless and picture perfect models?
On the other hand, if you are a man, have you ever fixed your eyes longingly to some
lady and mumbled to yourself, Wow, she is beautiful ?
Women of today are fortunate because they are recognized and are more powerful
compared to what they have to go through years ago. They are empowered and successful
because they fought for their rights. However, writer and feminist Naomi Wolf, author of
The Beauty Myth: How Images of Beauty Are Used Against Women, is troubled. Her
nonfiction book states that as women gain social power and prominence, they are
expected to conform to society s impossible standards of physical beauty. ... Show more

Betty Friedan, a feminist just like Wolf, wrote in Allure magazine that The Beauty Myth
and the controversy it is eliciting could be a hopeful sign of a new surge of feminist
consciousness.
Women of all ages who belong to all walks of life have one thing in common: they tend
to live up to society s definition of beauty. They fear aging and are conscious about their
complexion, height, and weight, among
Film Analysis Of The Breakfast Club
Joohyun Cho Introduction to Psychology Film Analysis of The Breakfast Club
Introduction The film The Breakfast Club was directed and written by John Hughes
and was released in the year 1985 (IMDB, 2016). The film s running time is 95
minutes and can be categorized under the genre of comedy and drama. It follows five
teenagers, who all vary in personality and stereotype, get stuck in detention on a
Saturday morning. They are all different types of people in nature but when stripped
down and seen through without a stereotypical lens, they all have something to share
and have something in common amongst themselves despite being so different from
each other. In the movie, they are stereotyped as, a basket case, a brain, an athlete, a
princess, and a criminal (IMDB, 2016). The setting takes place in a library and whilst
they are in detention, they go through varying phases. They start off with solitude, then
proceed to share a few words, and later into the film they start to disclose information
about themselves that normally would be very difficult to disclose. While they are in
the library they start off as complete strangers and barely talk to each other. As the
movie progresses, they start doing a lot of things that a normal group of friends would do
such as dancing, playing music, sneaking out together, and even smoking a joint together.
The main issue that the movie raises is the idea that being subjected to peer pressure and
malicious parenting
Senkaku Islands Controversy
Every day the world is dealing with issues that come and go or issues that have existed
and was never properly dealt with. The information we obtain is always presented to
us through a plethora of sources on a daily basis. Sometimes the source of our
information is biased and other times it is neutral. What is more important is how the
knowledge is relayed to us and how we consume it. The media may influence how we
consume information based on how they word the topic at hand. In light of recent
controversies there is an issue in the Pacific over claims of the Senkaku Islandsor as the
Chinese refer to as the Diaoyu Islands. This altercation is mainly between Japan and
China, however the United States has a role in this predicament.
The gist of this controversy is that according to BBC How uninhabited islands soured

Japan however claims the Senkaku Islands belong to them because it was returned to
them by the U.S. in 1971, under the Okinawa reversion deal, after they renounced the
claims of the Islands after WW2. The islands are disputed over the fact that it is a
strategic location for trade routes, military bases, and potential oil/gas reserves.
The media has covered this issue again and again for years now. Both countries have
their arguments on why the islands belong to them, but the media still presents us
information differently. When a person looks at news media outside of the Western
hemisphere, such as the Japan Times or Shanghai Daily, it is possible to see the
difference in opinion based on the presentation of the subject matter. The media presents
and manipulates the information that is available to show a certain message. When
reading the article from Shanghai daily China unwavering on Diaoyu Islands it can be
observed that the article
Masculinity In The Fight Club
I am planning to write about the 1999 film Fight Club directed by David Fincher. This
movie is about a nameless insomniac office worker (the narrator) who has became, as
he views, a slave to consumer culture. He begins attending support groups for diseases
he doesn t have to subdue his emotional state, and he begins to sleep again. He meets
Marla Singer, another fake attendee of support groups, she is an incredibly mysterious
woman who is obviously a bit crazy, yet the narrator seems drawn to her. On a flight
for his job, the narrator meets the character Tyler Durden, a hip, stylish man who sells
soap for a living. When the narrator s apartment blows up, he calls Tyler and begins to
live with him. The two start a men only underground fight club, which takes the place
of the narrators attendance of support groups in emotional aid. However the two men
soon spiral out of control, battling for the love of Marla and power. The narrator finds
out that Tyler has turned the fight club into an anti capitalism domestic terrorist group
called Project Mayhem and Tyler is planning on blowing up credit card companies to
reset debt. The narrator however realizes that Tyler was created from his imagination
and him and Tyler are the same person. The narrator manages to stop Tyler and his plan
to end debt. I wanted to focus on two main points, one being the messages of masculinity
in the film and the other the anti consumer messages it sends. I wonder what effect this
movie has had on
Cottonwood Research Papers
Cottonwood Trees

Native to the United States, cottonwood trees preferred habitat in the wild include moist
bottomland areas and around lakes and streams. Those wishing to add one to their
landscape need to consider all aspects of the tree before planting, as the tree has a
variety of drawbacks that don t make it suitable for many locations.

Basic Description

Eastern cottonwood (Populus deltoids), which is also its common name, is a fast
growing deciduous tree that obtains an additional 6 feet of growth yearly and reaches a
mature height and width of 100 feet. Due to this habit of quick growth, the wood is soft
and brittle, breaking easily in windy conditions.

Bark, Stems and Foliage

The bark and trunk on a mature cottonwood tree is deeply furrowed, thick and gray
and with younger trees, the bark is a greenish gray. Young stems and branches are a
yellowish green in color, changing to a grayish color as they age. Mature trees develop
an open and irregular shaped crown.

Foliage is thick and heart shaped with coarse ridges lining the edges, averaging 2 to 6
inches long. During the growing season their color is green, changing to yellow during
the fall before the foliage drops during the winter months. The several inch long and
flattened petiole allow the leaves to flap from side to side in windy conditions.

Flowers and Seeds

Eastern cottonwood trees are dioecious, meaning there are male and female trees
producing flowers, though the female trees are the ones
