Barangay Maloma, San Felipe, Zambales for fifty-six (56) years. He is living with her wife Leonila, five children, granddaughter, and his brother Raul. They own

a house and lot. The roof and outer walls are made of strong materials such as concrete and galvanized iron.

The family has a source of electricity and has access to potable water. They own appliances such as 32” flat screen television, washing machine, rice cooker,

stereo and refrigerator. They also have a tricycle that serves as family service, six cellular phones and one (1) laptop.

Before, the source of income of Danilo was derived from farming and Leonila was a vegetable vendor at the San Felipe Public Market. Because of this most of

their children graduated from college.

At present, Danilo is more focused on taking care of his family and doing household chores since Leonila experienced a stroke in the year 2009. Leonila had

difficulty in articulation and understanding some things and until now she is taking her maintenance medicines to control her blood pressure. The sources of

income of the family are derived from the following: Catherine, eldest daughter and a single mother who is under board of Bachelor of Science in Elementary

Education and is currently working as factory worker in Nidec Subic Philippines Corporation in Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ) for seven years with monthly

land farming that produces twenty (20) cavans of palay every July for the family's consumption.

Currently the monitored child in their household for education is Danilo’s granddaughter Claire Cyrell, Grade 7 student enrolled at Sagpat High School.

Naomi, daughter of Danilo, is an active member of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS). Also, Catherine, Aisa, Jolly, have contributions in the

Social Security System (SSS). In times where a family member got sick of an illness, all of the family are members of Philhealth insurance.

On the other hand, the family has enough Savings at the Rural Bank of San Felipe that they can use in case of emergencies or crisis situations. They are also

aware of the other services offered by the LGU and department’s EAICS that includes assistance on medical, burial, and financial and/or food subsidies.

The family also has an awareness and knowledge during calamities and disasters. Through their enough knowledge and economic status, the family could

recover from the impact of natural or human made disasters.

There is also well-developed backyard gardening where family members helped each other in planting vegetables such as talong, Okra, talbos ng kamote,

kamatis, and malunggay. They also harvested vegetables for their family’s consumption during the peak of covid-19 pandemic.

The location of their house is prone to disaster. The family’s house is made of strong materials that can withstand strong wind and rain. The household has an

Emergency Balde also that they could use during disasters. Barangay Maloma, Sitio Sagpat is located at the side of the mountain and riverside which is prone to

natural calamities. The community has one (1) elementary school, one (1) High School, one (1) Daycare center, one (1) health station, one (1) covered court.

In addition, in terms of the involvement of the family members in family activities, they engaged for at least two times but less than five times a month. Also, no

family members had participation in legitimate or widely-recognized people’s organizations/associations or support groups. With regards to family awareness on

gender-based violence, Danilo was aware of at least two forms of gender-based violence but cannot explain them.

Danilo is a loving and hardworking father and husband. The family has nine members in which current income is sufficient for their daily consumption.

Despite being strict parents, children of the household are allowed to choose for themselves. As stated by Danilo, they encourage them to pursue their own

choices. They believed in the decision-making skills of their children.

In terms of access to resources, both their male and female children could access their resources equitably. All children were provided with their necessities

including non-food needs.

The family is actively participating in the community, attending meetings, and participating in community activities like coastal clean-up, community gardening,

4 o’ clock habit, Brigada eskwela.

Danilo admitted the improvement of the family’s well-being compared to the life situation they had before they entered the Pantawid Pamilya Program. The

family’s perseverance to increase the level of their well-being was also achieved when their children are all working and earning for their living.

In addition to this, the result of the Family Risk and Vulnerability Assessment of the family has no risk in all thematic areas which is an indicator that the family

has a high level of functioning.

Based on the overall assessment, the household manifests the basic qualities and capabilities to sustain their well-being. The family members aside from strong

family ties, they have perseverance and positive disposition in life. It was also assessed that the household has a contingency plan as to the readiness of the

family to unexpected or emergency cases in the presence of savings, and government insurances.

The household can sustain its level of well-being and is able to provide the health and educational needs of the children without the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino
