CASE DEVELOPMENT
I. Case Development
Liezl Alvez Alcasid is a Set 6C registered household of Barangay San Maloma, San Felipe, Zambales with household ID number 037110006-7832-00011. She
is living with her husband and together with her one daughter, and three sons.
The monitored children in their household are her daughter, Ashley Danaia, Grade 11 student and her sons Rudolf, Grade 10 student and ralph Kevin, Grade 9
student enrolled at Gov. Manuel D. Barretto national High School.

Per validation, Liezl, has recently acquired a permanent position as administrative Assistant at LGU-San Felipe. She earns eighteen thousand pesos
(Php18,000) per month. Her husband Rudolf is a heavy equipment operator at New Zealand who earns one hundred thousand pesos (Php100,000) per month.
Further, the family owns a house, rent-free lot with consent from the owner. The roof is made up of galvanized sheets and outer walls are made up of concrete
materials. Their house underwent renovation five years ago. The family has a source of electricity and has access to potable water. The house is furnished and
they have appliances such as a 32” flat screen television, washing machine with dryer, sala set, dining set, laptop and refrigerator. They also own a motorcycle
with sidecar that serve as an additional form of income for the family.
In the long run of being a Pantawid beneficiary, Liezl affirmed that there were developments and improvements incurred in the level of their well-being. She has
attended Family Development Sessions completely from the start of the program. She attentively listened and shared the learning with her children. The core
impact of the program in the family was the behavioral changes that includes the needs of family activities and shared responsibilities in doing household chores,
cooperate in the activities of the community like clean up drive, brigada eskwela, and 4 o’clock habit, importance of saving money as Liezl pushes her children to
have micro-savings out of their excess allowances in school.
As to the ability to discern problems, the household ensures that all family members are included when it comes to decision making. It also molds their children
in making firm decisions in their lives in the future. The household believes that participation of each member in problem-solving plays a vital role in their family.
After four years of the last SWDI administration conducted in 2015 with a score of 2.6 or Subsistence Level, the DSWD conducted the re-assessment in 2019.
Based on the 2019 SWDI result, the household got a score of 2.87 Self-sufficiency level. There was an increase of .27 compared to the 2015 assessment. It was
manifested by the following: the family’s monthly per capita income is above the official monthly per capita food threshold in the province, there is a family
member who is an active member of the GSIS/SSS or has an access to savings and loan associations and the household has installed electricity, has an access
to sanitary toilet facility, safe drinking water, have reported assets that provide an additional income for the family.
Liezl admitted the improvement of the family’s well-being compared to the life situation they had before they entered the Pantawid Pamilya Program. They have
no stable job prior program inclusion, and house is made up of light materials, no electricity and has no access to basic services such as health services. The
family’s perseverance to increase the level of their well-being was also achieved since she got the permanent position in the LGU of San Felipe, Zambales in the
year 2022.
In addition to this, the result of the Family Risk and Vulnerability Assessment of the family has no risk in all thematic areas which is an indicator that the family
Based on the overall assessment, the household manifests the basic qualities and capabilities to sustain their well-being. The family members aside from strong
family ties, they have perseverance and positive disposition in life. It was also assessed that the household has a contingency plan as to the readiness of the
family to unexpected or emergency cases in the presence of savings, and government insurances.
The household can sustain its level of well-being and is able to provide the health and educational needs of his children without the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino
Program.

Based on the assessment, the household is able to sustain its level of well-being and is able to provide the health and educational needs of the children without
the Pantawid program. Hence, the undersigned respectfully recommends the household of Liezel A. Alcasid with household ID number 037110006-7832-00011
to exit from the program and formally endorsed to local government unit for the continues monitoring.
