Graveyard Management with Geographical Information System and
Operational Business Analytics for Negros Occidental, 2023
Managing cemeteries and memorial gardens is challenging due to manual
processes, leading to inefficiencies and errors. This study introduced a geographical information system (GIS) with operational business analytics to address these challenges. As an initial deployment, this system covered only the cemeteries and memorial gardens in Negros Occidental (Western Visayas, Philippines). In addition, this study streamlined cemetery operations, improved service delivery, automated data management and analysis, and optimized gravesite maintenance. The system utilizes GIS technology to map the cemetery and visualize data, providing a complete overview of burial grounds. By leveraging operational data, the system enabled data- driven decision-making, optimized resource allocation, and predictive capabilities. The information system component allows authorized personnel to access and update burial records, automate billing processes, and generate reports. It eventually reduced the administrative tasks and ensured accurate and up-to-date information. In addition, the system has a tracking feature that simplifies ownership transfers. Furthermore, the system assisted in optimizing gravesite maintenance by providing tools to track and schedule necessary upkeep tasks. It ensured that gravesites were well-maintained, creating a respectful and pleasant environment for visitors. To enhance the visitor experience, the system incorporated a user-friendly interface. Hence, visitors can gravesites, leave tributes, and receive notifications using the system, creating a more personalized and meaningful experience for individuals paying their respects to their loved ones.
Health Information System Users in Public Health Facilities: A Descriptive
Analytics 2023 Summary of Findings, Conclusion, and Recommendation Summary of Findings The study focused on the type of reporting used for the health information systems (HIS) utilized in public health facilities in the Prov- ince of Bataan as well as the number of trained and untrained encoders. The following are the significant findings of the study: 1. All of the public health facilities in the Prov- ince of Bataan are using the health infor- mation system (HIS) for health data collection and reporting to the Department of Health Center for Health Development (CHD). 2. Majority of the public health facilities are using HIS for data collection and reporting. Less than half of the public health facilities utilise the paper-based modality. In addi- tion, a number of public health facilities are using both paper-based and HIS for data collection and reporting. 3. Every public health facility has trained en- coders for the health information 4. system (HIS) they are using but the major- ity of encoders are not trained.. The researchers used Microsoft Power BI to develop a dashboard to visualize the current situation of public health facilities in the Prov- ince of Bataan. Conclusion In this section of the study the researchers provide conclusions based on the visualized analysis of the study. Accordingly the researchers had the following conclusions: 1. The Province of Bataan is capable of the in- tegration of health information systems. 2. The Province of Bataan is supporting the im- plementation of the use of HIS by designat- ing encoders in every public health facility. 3. The majority of the encoders in the Province of Bataan will be trained to use the HIS in their respective public health facilities to en- hance the quality of their work. 4. The Department of Health Center for Health Development (CHD) has timely access to the health data records in the majority of healthcare facilities in the Province of Ba- taan through HIS.
The Role of Management Information System: Review on the Importance of Data and Implementation in Organizational Process,2020
In conclusion, this discourse hopes to have substantially explained the
importance and role of MIS in organizational development. Every organization should have the clear-cut process flow of information management which includes data storage, data processing, data utilization, and data monitoring. It must be clear to all that the process is a cycle that shows the interconnectedness of each of the steps in the process. Technology for MIS is already available and is continuously going through advances and improvements and all that an organization has to do is to set them up to facilitate MIS procedures. But the greatest emphasis on the importance and role of MIS in organizational development is on the peopleware. Every person in the organization is part of the peopleware, not just those who are directly running the MIS. From top management to the simplest rank, they should be connected and concerned to the MIS Office to bring the organization to its highest potentials. A Systematic Literature Review of Health Information Systems for Healthcare 2023 In the healthcare information and knowledge arena, assimilation and dissemination is a facet that influences healthcare delivery. The conception and evolution of HIS has positioned this system within the healthcare arena to arbitrate information interchange for its stakeholders. HIS deployment within healthcare has not only enabled information and knowledge management, but it has also enabled and driven many healthcare agendas and continues to maintain a solidified presence within the healthcare space. However, its deployment and enactment globally has been marred and plagued with several challenges that hinder its optimization and defeat its purpose. Phenomena such as the occurrences of pandemics such as COVID-19, which are uncertain, and the advancement of technology that cannot be controlled have caused disputed gradients regarding the positioning of HIS. These phenomena have not only influenced the adoption of HIS but have also limited its ability to be fully utilized. Although much research on HIS has been conducted, the presence of these phenomena and many other inherent challenges such as fragmentation and cost still maintain a constant, prominent presence, which has led to the need for this study. Consequently, the starting point for this study was to provide insight and expertise regarding the discourse of HIS for healthcare applications. This paper presents current and pertinent insights regarding the deployment of the HIS that, when adopted, can positively aid its employment. This paper investigated the existing HIS literature to accomplish the objective set forth in the introduction. This study’s synthesis derived key insights relevant to the holistic view of HIS through a thorough systematic review of the various extant literature on HIS and healthcare. According to the study’s findings, HIS are critical and foundational in the drive of information and knowledge management for healthcare. The contribution of HIS to healthcare has been and continues to be groundbreaking since its conception and through its consequent evolution. Nevertheless, despite the presence of some limitations that are external and inherent, it is claimed to have transformed and changed healthcare from the start. Similarly, the evaluation of the current HIS is expected to impact its adoption and strengthen its implementation within the global healthcare space, which is greatly desired. These findings are of great importance to the healthcare stakeholders that directly and indirect interact with HIS. Additionally, scholars and healthcare researchers can benefit from this study by incorporating the findings in future works that plan HIS for healthcare.
