Essay 1

The concept of gay marriage has been a contentious issue that has sparked debates and
discussions across various societies. The choice of this topic is motivated by the ongoing global
discourse on human rights, equality, and societal norms. In this essay, we will explore the
reasons why some people support gay marriage while others vehemently oppose it, shedding
light on the contrasting perspectives that exist on this polarizing subject.

Currently, for some people to argue convincingly in favor of gay marriage is the principle of
equality. Basically, supporters emphasize that denying same-sex couples the right to marry is a
form of discrimination that infringes on their basic human rights. Essentially, advocates often
cite the importance of legal recognition and protection for same-sex couples, as marriage grants
access to various legal and financial benefits that would not otherwise be available to them.
Additionally, advocates argue that allowing gay marriage contributes to the overall inclusion of
society, fostering an environment that embraces diversity and rejects discrimination based on
sexual orientation.

Moreover, many people in favor of gay marriage contend that it has positive societal
implications. Allowing same-sex couples to marry is seen as a step towards building more
tolerant and accepting communities. Research indicates that legalizing gay marriage is
associated with improved mental health outcomes for LGBTQ+ individuals, as it validates their
identities and strengthens their sense of belonging. In this context, its defenders propose
accepting diversity in the institution of marriage because this could lead to a more
compassionate and understanding society.

While they support it, there are those who oppose gay marriage, often basing their arguments
on religious or cultural beliefs. Many religious doctrines define marriage as the union between a
man and a woman, and followers argue that altering this definition undermines the sanctity of
marriage as traditionally understood. Some people claim that allowing gay marriage would
violate the tenets of their faith, which not only should we allow raise concerns about religious
freedoms.

Another common argument against gay marriage revolves around the idea of preserving social
norms. Opponents express concern since they impact the potential to redefine marriage in the
institution itself and in the broader social fabric because they had been feared that adopting
non-traditional forms of marriage could lead to a slippery slope, where other non-conventional
unions could be considered acceptable, thus destabilizing established social structures.
Furthermore, some opponents of gay marriage raise concerns about the potential effects on
children raised in same-sex households. While numerous studies suggest that children raised by
same-sex couples fare just as well as those in heterosexual families, detractors argue that children
benefit most from being raised by a mother and a father. This perspective often stems from
deeply ingrained beliefs about traditional family structures and gender roles.

In conclusion, the debate surrounding gay marriage remains a complex and divisive issue, with
strong arguments on both sides. The clash of values between those advocating for equality and
recognition of diverse relationships and those emphasizing the preservation of traditional
norms has led to a persistent and evolving conversation. Personally, I believe that embracing the
diversity of love and commitment through the legalization of gay marriage is a positive step
towards building a more inclusive and tolerant society. While it is crucial to respect differing
opinions, acknowledging the fundamental human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals is essential for
creating a world where everyone can live authentically and without fear of discrimination.
Ultimately, the ongoing dialogue on gay marriage reflects the broader societal shift towards
inclusivity and understanding, demonstrating our collective journey towards a more equitable
and compassionate future.
Essay 2
This unit has been somewhat difficult for me, and the question is why it was difficult for me, it
was because I left Icpna for two months, and resuming it took me a little stress, because I was at
school saving my last two months to be able to graduate and apart from that I was in the
pre-school of the Peruvian Navy.

First of all, the fact that I had these difficulties does not mean that this stage has not expanded
my knowledge of complex grammatical structures and refined my ability to express ideas
accurately. The new in-depth teachings on advanced topics such as connectors, noun clauses:
subjects, objects, and complements, direct and indirect speech and conditionals have provided
me with a set of more advanced linguistic tools. Additionally, exposure to complex sentence
constructions has improved my writing skills and allowed me to communicate more effectively.

One of the highlights of this stage was the incorporation of various learning resources, ranging
from interactive exercises to examples from daily life. Constant practice allowed me to make the
language a little easier, but the problem is whether the topics are a little broad, it will be a little
more difficult to understand and worse if you have more obligations from school and
pre-school.

However, striking a balance between maintaining consistency and incorporating advanced

elements became a delicate task. I was determined to leave the ICPNA itself, but my dad told me
that I should continue until I finished everything because in the end it will help me. If I am
motivated, I know that I will be able to find more pleasure in it.

In upcoming courses that focus on spoken English, I expect a dynamic shift from theoretical
understanding to practical application. Emphasis is likely to be placed on pronunciation,
intonation, and effective communication strategies.

Moreover, what I would like to highlight the camaraderie developed with fellow learners during
this stage. Collaborative projects and group discussions not only provided diverse perspectives
but also fostered a sense of community.

In conclusion, the journey through advanced grammar has been an intellectually stimulating
phase, marked by both triumphs and tribulations. The proficiency gained in written expression
sets the stage for the exciting transition into spoken English studies. This stage has not just been
about rules and structures; it has been a holistic experience that has shaped me into a more
adept and confident communicator.
