How the War of Terror has Changed America On September 11, 2001 the United States
of America was forever changed. A series of attacks lead by a man named Osama Bin
Laden, the leader of the organization called Al Qaeda, would bring America into a new
war, the War on Terror. This war would not be like the wars of before, nation against
nation, but would rather be a much more global conflict ( War ). The war would also not
merely involve the United States, but also every western country. The reason behind this
war is one word, Jihad. The definition of jihad is a war fought by Muslims to defend or
spread their belief ( Jihad ). The United States of America has changed the way it ... Show

While in the end, no battles were fought, the communist nation of the Soviet Union, and
America s only clear opponent in the world, fell, and The United States of America
became the only world superpower (Lusted).
During the late 1970s into the late 1980s the United States was very active in the Middle
East. The Soviet Union had much control over much of Afghanistan. The United States
of America saw this as a clear threat, the spread of Communism. With the assistance of
the Palestinian government, the United States funded the Palestinians to fight the
Russians. This situation eventually lead to what would later be called the Taliban. When
communism ended and the threat of the Soviets was gone, the United States of
America was in a pretty good place. In the years 1990 to 1991, the United States along
with many other countries were part of a coalition to take out the leader Saddam
Hussein, from power in Iraq. This operation was known as Operation Desert Storm.
After 42 days of allied bombardment, the Iraqi military surrendered, ending in a victory
for the coalition ( Persian ).
The events of September 11, in the year 2001 would change the United States from the

Supply And Demand Of Gasoline
Gasoline is produced by a distillation process where crude oil is heated and fumes are
captured and converted into many products such as kerosene, jet fuel, and gasoline to
name a few. Therefore the price of crude oil, which is extracted from oil wells beneath
the earths surface, is a major factor in gas prices. The five leading oil producing
countries and their approximate shares of the world supply of oil are: Soviet Union
21%, Saudi Arabia 17%, The United States 15%, Venezuela 4%, and Mexico 4%. These
five countries made up 61 % of the worlds oil production back in 1980 and an
organization called O.P.E.C. controls approximately four fifths of the worlds oil reserves
in the non communist world.
Factors effect to oil price
Price is depended on supply and demand. There are two different laws: The Law of
Demand and the Law of Supply. The Law of Demand is a relationship, which involves
price and quantity. It states that as the price of a product goes up (oil goes up), the
quantity of the product (oil) will go down; therefore, this is a strong relationship
between price and quantity. The Law of Supply, however, is the direct relationship
between price and the quantity in which the seller produces. So as price goes up, the
quantity the seller will produce will go up because the price allows for the seller to
produce more output. Demand shifts are caused by economic growths. Economic
growth is an increase in the capacity of an economy to produce goods and services, from

Jesus Of Nazareth Compare And Contrast
The works of John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth paved the way for the emergence of
Christianity; however, public perspective of the time cast them both in slightly different
shadows. This difference in public opinion possibly even affected the current view of the
relationship between Jesus and John. While clearly neither man would have exactly fit
into one of the mainstream Jewish groups of their time, Jesuswould have most likely fit
best with the Essenes. John began his public ministry in the fifteenth year of the reign
of Emperor Tiberius, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was ruler
of Galilee (Luke 3:1). During his ministry around Judea, John gained a great deal of
popularity and started recruiting followers.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Luke, Elizabeth and Mary were relatives and thought to be cousins
(Luke 1:36). If Elizabeth and Mary were cousins, this would also make Jesus and John
cousins. In John s writings however, John the Baptist says that [he] [him]self did not
know him (John 1:33). There are several explanations for this. John could have grown
up far away from his cousin, and would not have truly known him, making this
statement true. It is also possible that their relationship was added to the writings of
Luke in order increase the popularity of Jesus, who was not extremely popular in the
beginning of his ministry. A historical lens not seem to favor their familial relationship.
In his writings, Josephus does not mention their relationship, even though it would have
been an important aspect to their historical lives (Josephus, 18). From a ministerial
point of view, John and Jesus also had a complicated relationship. According to the
Gospels, John was sent ahead to prepare the way for Jesus; however, they both also
preached slightly different messages. While Jesus baptism was the baptism of the Holy
Spirit, John s baptism was the baptism of
