Abstract:

Title: Digital library management system

The digital Library Management System using PHP and MySQL is a web-based application designed to
automate and streamline the daily operations of a library. This project offers features that go beyond
traditional library management systems, including user and admin login functionalities. The admin login
allows the administrator to monitor and manage the entire system effectively.

The system also provides a user login feature, enabling students to access their accounts and view a list
of books they have borrowed, along with their respective issue and return dates. This feature helps
students keep track of their borrowed books and ensures timely returns.

The motivation behind developing this system is to address the challenges faced by students in
accessing books from the physical library. With limited availability and the possibility of books being
already borrowed, students often waste time searching for books. Additionally, the library may not have
a sufficient quantity of books to cater to the needs of all students. To overcome these limitations, the
digital library component of this system provides access to a wide range of books, including reference
materials, for students from freshmen to GC level.

By implementing this Library Management System, students will have a convenient and efficient way to
access books, reducing time wastage and ensuring a wider range of available resources. The system will
enhance the overall library experience and contribute to a more effective learning environment for
students.
