Comparison Contrast Essays

Crafting a Comparison Contrast Essay can be a challenging endeavor that requires careful
consideration and attention to detail. The complexity lies in the need to juxtapose two or more
subjects, highlighting both their similarities and differences in a coherent and compelling manner.
This task demands a thorough understanding of the chosen topics, as well as the ability to analyze
and synthesize information effectively.

One of the difficulties faced is striking the right balance between comparison and contrast. It's
essential to avoid a mere listing of similarities and differences but instead delve into the deeper
implications of these aspects. Organizing the content in a logical and seamless structure poses
another challenge, as writers must decide whether to adopt a block method or a point-by-point
approach and ensure the essay flows smoothly.

Additionally, selecting suitable criteria for comparison and contrast can be a daunting task.
Identifying relevant similarities and differences requires critical thinking and a nuanced
understanding of the subjects. This process demands extensive research to gather accurate and
pertinent information, adding to the overall complexity of the task.

Moreover, maintaining a neutral and objective tone while presenting the comparative analysis can be
challenging. Writers must navigate potential biases and ensure that their assessments remain fair and
unbiased throughout the essay. Achieving this balance is essential for a credible and convincing
argument.

In conclusion, writing a Comparison Contrast Essay is no small feat. It demands a combination of

analytical skills, research prowess, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. While
the challenges may seem daunting, the reward lies in the development of a nuanced and insightful
piece of writing that enhances the reader's understanding of the subjects under consideration.

Rain water harvesting and Artificial recharge of ground water

Rainwater harvesting is the technique of collection

and storage of rain water at surface or in subsurface aquifer, before it is lost as surface
run off or as

evaporation.
The artificial recharge to ground water is a process by which the ground water reservoir
is augmented at a rate exceeding that under natural conditions of replenishment utilizing
suitable civil construction techniques.

Check Dam, Cement Plug, Nala Bund
A series of small bunds are made across selected nala sections such that the flow of
surface water in the stream channel is impeded and water is retained on pervious soil
/rock surface for longer period. Nala bunds are constructed across bigger nalas of
second order streams in areas having gentler slopes. A nala bund acts like a mini
percolation tank.

Site Characteristic and Design Guidelines

The total catchment of the nala should normally be between 40 to 100 Hectares. The
rainfall in the catchment should be 25 m). Aquifer is over lain by impervious thick clay
beds. Injection well can be with or without assembly. The Injection well with assembly
should have screen in the potential aquifer at least 3 5 m below the water level. The
injection well without assembly is filled with gravel to provide hydraulic continuity so
that water is directly recharged into the aquifer.

The injection well without assembly is very costeffective. The efficiency is very high
and rate of recharge goes even up to 15 1ps at certain places. Vertical Shaft with Injection

Community For My Old Volunteer Group
Community for me, is feeling connected, accepted, and at home. It is where everyone
is working together for a mutual cause, and having fun doing it. It is not so much a
place to me, as it is a feeling. I can go to any town, city, or community but it does not
necessarily take a place in my heart as much as the sense of community I have
experienced before. What other place to find community than my old volunteer
group, ironically called FOCUS on Community. FOCUS is an organization whose
mission is to reach out to the people of our community, like teens and families, to
prevent substance abuse, smoking, alcoholism, and even to help families that are
already dealing with these issues. My favorite program was the F.A.S.T. program
Families And Schools Together because I worked one on one with people and really
saw that we were making a difference in these people s lives. At the time I first
volunteered for F.A.S.T. I did not realize exactly what I was doing, I merely signed up
because I wanted to help out in some way. However, I soon realized that we truly were
bringing these families closer. We gave them a safe environment with dinner and
activities, and a chance every week to have one on one time with the child of their
choice. This helped them solve arguments and build stronger and closer relationships
with children who are having a rough time. Another place where I felt an immense sense
of community was Italian Fest. I have volunteered at this festival for the past
John Hammond s Jurassic Park
In an advancing world of genetics, a man named John Hammond has successfully used
preserved DNA from the Jurassic period to bring life back to the dinosaurs on a
secluded Costa Rican island. Furthermore, he plans to show his creations to the world in
a new theme park which he has named Jurassic Park . Prior to the official opening,
Hammond invites his grandchildren and experts Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian
Malcolm to get a full tour of his scientific masterpiece . After arrival, they are all amazed
by the fact that not only has Hammond revitalized the tallest and smallest of dinosaurs in
the exhibits, but also the fiercest with two Tyrannosaurus Rexes and multiple
Velociraptors. Wonder of Hammond s feat soon turns to horror though as the
management of the park goes awry. Those who survive the initial systems failures must
regroup, now finding themselves trapped on an island full of sophisticated predators.

One literary criticism states, Hammond believes that science s impressive logic and
mechanical integrity can overcome the organic, often chaotic forces of nature, but human
weakness, vulnerabilities in the technology , and above all the female dinosaurs
unanticipated development of asexual reproduction all serve as a cautionary tale for our
time (Hamilton and Jones). This quote from an article shows the idea that Jurassic Park
was created on a highly technological basis and thought of as unstoppable by Hammond.
It also shows reasoning that although it was advanced with a backing of science, it still
failed greatly in the end . This quote further supports the basis of Michael Crichton
writing the book on technological innovation facing a highly counterproductive
