Wonder Woman. After viewing the documentary film Wonder Women! The Untold
Story of American Super heroines viewers might find be asking themselves how they
have been blind to realizing women today are still allowing themselves to be dictated
by men. Women have been restricted to fill stereotypical roles on screen as well as off.

Despite Frozen or Brave having strong female leads, they still limited them to the roles
of being princesses. This hinders our girls from wanting to strive for more when all
they idolize is unrealistic glamour. Animated princesses are as disproportionate as
Barbie dolls, leaving girls with a broken self image. The toys that are marketed to girls
are baby dolls, make up, accessories, vacuums, and play kitchens. Fathers should not
have to complain about the almost nonexistent market of female action figures available
in stores. What defines girl toys vs boy toys ? Gender specific toys alone could prove we
are teaching girls to aspire to become domesticated housewives when they grow up.
Boys are targets of this in similar ways. It is time to break the gender

Jihad by sword is only permissible when you are attacked. It is unfortunate that Islam is
being branded as the religion of extremists, fascists, fundamentalists and terrorists. A
few days ago some non Muslim emailed me. He wrote; Islam is the religion of
terrorism and Muhammad was a terrorist. Why he wrote this? How he came to such a
conclusion? First; he has neither studied Islam nor the life of the Prophet of Islam.
Second he has read or seen the terrorist activities of some Muslim hard liners and
extremists. Partly he is correct and partly he is incorrect. The Quran about mischief
mongers and the enemies of peace candidly in Sura The Cow ; when it is said to them;
make not mischief on the earth . They say; we are only ones that put things right . Of
a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realize it not (2:11 12). The
serious, objective and rational study of the Quran testifies this verity that Islam strongly
condemns bloodshed and aggression. It is a religion of peace. The Meccans attacked
Muhammad thrice. The battle of Badr; the battle of Uhad and the battle of Trench are
solid proofs of the fact that the Muslims of Medina

your time is for a college student. Many students manage their time by listing everything

Informative Speech On Drag Queen
Good morning everyone. I m Savannah, I hope you all are just as excited as I am to
start off our speeches. I would like to take a moment and ask you all to close your and
relax, take a deep breath think about a time when you felt truly comfortable, safe, and
at peace. Now open your eyes. Where were you? It may be at the sunny beach, the
calming lake, the lush woods, or even that warm bed you left this morning. For me that
place is a club watching a drag show. Surprising right? Does anyone here know what a
drag queenis? A drag queen is defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary as usually a
homosexual male dressing up as a woman and performing for entertainment. While
that may be the case drag is so much more than just a man in makeup and a dress. The
art of drag is inclusive, builds an open and safe community, and gives a platform to
speak up and give back. Now this is where I destroy the idea that only queer men do
drag. Drag is extremely inclusive and anyone can join in on the fun. For example we
have drag kings, bio queens, even young aspiring queens like 8 year old Lactacia are
welcome. Drag kings can be defined as women and dressed as men for performance
and entertainment. Performers like Landon Cider, Robin Heartz, and Spikey Van
Dykey. Bio queens on the other hand are women dressed as an exaggerated idea of
being female. Women such as Tayla Macdonald, the girls of Drag Coven Aka
Courtney Conquer and Ja mie Queen West, and Lucy Garland are well known in the
community. As for Lactacia, the 8 year old drag queen the young queen have recently
blown up in the media and the world of drag. Lactacia and their mother recently did an
interview with Elle Magazine where they were asked how the 8 year old got into drag,
like many others including myself it all started with a little show called Rupauls Drag
Race. Drag Race is a reality competition show where they find the next drag superstar.
Much like Americas Next Top Model, but with much more charisma, uniqueness, nerve,
and talent. Through the growing popularity of the show it is spreading the art of drag
and the magic behind it. Not only has casted a spell on Lactacia and I, but millions of
others as well. Because of the shows rapidly growing popularity
Pros And Cons Of The Border Wall Essay
In the past few years, there has been a recent push for a border wall to protect the United
States from the increase in immigration and drug trafficking. Although the border wall
aids in reducing problems in our country, it is affecting the economy of the country and
the health of our environment, therefore the border wall is not the best solution.
Starting in 2006, the United States started to develop the wall along parts of the
frontier between U.S. and Mexico. There was 670 miles of the wall authorized to be
assembled, and there were many objections to it being built. Besides the oppositions,
from 2006 to 2009 there was already more than 100 miles of the wall constructed
(Gilman 258). Congress passed the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant
Responsibility Act in 1996. The act gave power to the government to create walls or
barriers along the border, and it allowed it to seize land from people if it is imperative
in protecting the borderline of the country (Gilman 259). In 2006, the Secure Fence
Act was passed that instructed the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to
develop a fence stretching from 5 different areas of the border. In 2007, there was 70
miles of the wall built in the Arizona and Mexico frontier. Since this occurrence, the
government then shifted its surveillance to the border along Texas and Mexico in 2007,
and started suggestions to assemble more than 100 miles of the border wall by 2008
(Gilman 260). Towards the end of 2007, the
