Next, I stated the null (H0) and the alternative (H1) hypothesis for this data. Hypothesis
testing involves the careful construction of two statements: the null and alternative. The
null hypothesis holds that there will be no observed effect in our experiment. The
alternative or experimental hypothesis holds that there will be an observed effect for our
experiment. The following hypotheses are formulated below:

Informative Essay On Baroque Music
Oddly shaped pearl. Not a name most would associate automatically with music. Yet
oddly shaped pearl is exactly where the word baroque comes from. Baroque is derived
from the Portuguese word barroco. This meaning is almost a foretelling of the unique
music style of this period. Ranging from 1600 to 1750, a new style emerged. This one
unlike the Renaissance period prior. The oddly shaped pearl stormed Europe with
musical style, instruments, composers, and life. First to have a new period of music,
the ebb and flow of the sound had to be different. For the first time in music history,
there was contrast in the dynamics and pitches. Terrace dynamics became a popular way
for composers to embrace the new style. Certain sections of the piece would... Show more

Composers wrote for their employers. The Catholic Church supported and employer
quite a few of the baroque composers. Music has always been an important part in
services. Baroque music tends to be religious in nature due to this fact. Before the
baroque period, church and celebrations in the home of wealthy music patrons were
the only places to hear music. During the baroque period, composers would perform
publically. This led to the middle class actually hearing music for entertainment for the
first time. Music became a form of entertainment all people wanted to be at. The music
changed from only sacred and in church to a normality in the secular life of the people.
After this period, composers wrote music for the common people to play and
instruments are seen in homes. The baroque period set all of this off. The oddly
shaped pearl had quite an impact on Europe with its musical style, instruments,
composers, and life. The impact still resonates today with our complex dynamics and
solo/ensemble groups both chorally and symphonically. How the period got its
nickname, however, is a story to be told. Whether historians choose to call the period an
oddly shaped pearl or just the baroque period the uniqueness still resonates. No other
period has had as much effect as that of the baroque period of
White Male Power vs the Other
Abstract

Thomas King s story, You ll Never Believe What Happened Is Always a Great Way To
Start , Race, Class and Gender in Asian America by Yen Le Espiritu and Zebra:
Growing up Black and White in Canada by Lawrence Hill all illustrate how people of
minority deal with their intersectionality of gender, race and ethnicity and their limitations
that the dominant ideology of the west puts on them.

Introduction

Since the beginning of time stories were a major influence in the ways generations
would pass down knowledge to the younger generations. The power of stories and
storytelling teaches individuals valuable lessons and good morals that help mold them
into reasonable citizens. In western society children are exposed to ... Show more content

Even though that was not the case, the employer in this case is a man and has a bias
against women, so he decides to use that as an excuse so his sexism will never be
caught. As in a global perspective some parts in the world like Afghanistan women do
not have the right to vote and their place in society is to take care of the family. As a
way of overcoming this obstacle in western society is to educate more individuals that
this is happening so individuals will want to protest for change to their government. So
the governments can get involved and implant rules based on equality for men and
women in managerial positions. That will ultimately start the process of less inequality
likely to happen in the work environment.

King s mother deals with her ethnicity, as it is a major part in her intersectionality. Her
skin colour was always a reminder in the story as it is constantly reminded those
individuals of minority, White was more than just a colour (King, 2) King s mothers
intersectionality provides readers insight that the stories and the experiences she goes
through may be different than another person because her intersectionality of race,
gender, and ethnicity may different than another person.

What Are The Positive Impact Of Affordable Housing
The Positive Impacts of Affordable Housing in a Community According to The
Economic Times, affordable housing is defined as housing units that are occupied by a
person whose income is below the median of household income. The purpose of
researching this topic is to inform readers of the positive outcomes which stem from
affordable housingin communities and also to give examples of the life changing impacts
affordable housing has on families. Through analysis and observation, a person may
become more aware of what is going on in their neighborhood. A community should
consider affordable housing for positive outcomes such as education, good health
increases, and economic growth.
A person may ask, how does Affordable Housing affect health? The answer could be
that they are directly tied together. In fact affordable housing can reduce exposure to
disease, which lead to a decrease in physical and mental health issues. Some people
may argue that affordable housing has nothing to do with health. Health has a fair
amount to do with affordable housing. It is common knowledge, nationwide, that if a
person doesn t have a home, he or she is more likely to neglect treating illnesses such
as high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer. Which lead to drug abuse and alcoholism.

INTRODUCTION:
Mitochondrion produces the energy that cell needs by breaking down sugars, fatty acids
and amino acids to CO2 and H2O. In this process, which is called cellular respiration, the
chemical energy in sugar, fatty acid and amino acid molecules is captured as ATP. Krebs
cycle is a part of the cellular respiration that consists of series of reactions. And succinate
dehydrogenase is one of the enzymes that is used in this cycle. It basically catalyzes the
oxidation of succinate to fumarate. In this reaction, succinate reduces a FAD molecule,
which eventually donates its electrons to coenzyme Q. However, Azide prevents
FADH2 from giving its electrons to coenzyme Q, rather than an artificial electron
acceptor, DCIP takes the electrons. DCIP is a dark blue solution that gets lighter as it
gains electrons. As DCIP gets lighter, its absorbance will decrease. So, the rate of the
reaction can be relatively observed by looking at the absorbance values of DCIP since
the reaction processes, DCIP gains electrons and gets lighter in color. By
spectrophotometry we took the absorbance values. Spectrophotometer is used in the
process, which sends beams of light to the sample and measures the intensity of the light
that passes through the sample. This way we can
The Absolute Power Of Louis XIV
Louis XIV was able to become an absolute monarch with his strategy of impeding the
power of nobles to the effect of creating more power for himself. He greatly feared
another insistence of the Fronde. When taking the throne fully at the death of his Chief
Minister, Mazarin, he was quoted saying, L état, c est moi or I am the state , expressing
his need for absolute power. With this intention, Louis XIV first did not hire another
Chief Minister and gave himself total control of the government. In the same way, he
made nobles relinquish their political influence and not pay taxes, both actions made
them dependent on the crown. His new Chief Council was not made up of princes but
instead the educated middleclass. These men would not have
