Job Shadow Essay

Crafting an essay on the subject of "Job Shadow" can present a series of challenges, primarily
because it requires a delicate balance of personal experience and reflective analysis. Firstly, the task
demands a thorough understanding and engagement with the concept of job shadowing itself, which
involves shadowing a professional in their workplace to gain insights into their daily tasks,
responsibilities, and the overall work environment. This necessitates not only the ability to secure
such an opportunity but also to effectively observe and assimilate the experiences encountered during
the shadowing process.

Secondly, translating these experiences into a coherent and insightful essay requires a high level of
introspection and critical thinking. It's not merely about recounting the events of the shadowing day
but also about reflecting on how those experiences have influenced one's understanding of the chosen
profession, career aspirations, and personal development. This reflective aspect often demands deep
self-analysis and the ability to draw meaningful connections between the observed practices and
one's own goals and values.

Furthermore, the essay should be structured in a way that effectively communicates these insights to
the reader. This involves organizing the content in a logical sequence, employing appropriate
language and tone, and ensuring clarity of expression throughout. Additionally, crafting a compelling
introduction and conclusion that encapsulate the significance of the job shadowing experience adds
another layer of complexity to the writing process.

Overall, writing an essay on the topic of job shadowing requires not only the ability to articulate
personal experiences but also to analyze and interpret them in a meaningful way, all while adhering
to the conventions of academic writing. It's a task that demands both introspection and
communication skills to effectively convey the impact of the shadowing experience on one's
professional and personal development.

Duke Ellington Essay
Duke Ellington

Duke Ellington s pre eminence in jazz is not only because of the very high aesthetic
standard of his output and not simply due to his remarkable abilities as a pianist,
composer and bandleader, but also to the fact that he has extended the boundaries of jazz
more than any other musician, without abandoning the true essence of the music.
Perhaps no other American musician left such a massive and challenging legacy in
composition and performance.
Edward Kennedy Duke Ellington was born in Washington, D.C. on April 29, 1899, to
parents James Edward and Daisy Kennedy Ellington. Duke, even as a teenager, had a
great talent for music. His school music teacher, Mrs. Clinkscales, who played the piano,

He would arrange dance bands for weddings and parties for extra money. He put his
knowledge of piano playing to use and played at a few of the dance parties and
weddings. After employing his artistic talent in painting posters, Duke then decided to
put together his own band.
This new music, known as jazz, was considered to be low and vulgar because it was
music that grew directly out of the Black culture. In the early years of Duke s career,
segregation was at one of its all time worst points in history. In time, jazz became a
universally recognized form of art, and has been said that it is the only real form that has
originated from the American soul.
Duke, himself, was an elegant man. When the white people looked down on the black
man and his music, Duke managed to bring dignity to every one of his performances.
Once, the jazz historian Leonard Feather described Duke as, an inch over six feet tall,
sturdily built, he had an innate grandeur that would have enabled him to step with
unquenched dignity out of a mud puddle. Duke s private life was something of an
enigma. Although he had many friends, he never really told them everything about
himself. He would often guard his privacy, probably because he had so little of it. When
he was alone though, he would almost always be arranging the next tune for the band to
play, and was always preparing something for the band to do in the next performance.

Definition Of Globalization
Introduction

Globalisation is a term that has been heard before, a concept that is not new. The effects
of globalisation were introduced and discussed by political philosophers Marx and
Engels, a century and a half ago, however the term itself was only recently introduced
into mainstream fields (Wood, 2008). This paper is going to investigate the definitions of
globalisation, what fields of study it affects, its origin and the effects all whilst trying to
answer the question, is globalisation a recent phenomenon? Investigating the term and
what it encapsulates will help answer this question, and why globalisation is not a recent
phenomenon but will explain why it appears as though it is a recent phenomenon.

Globalisation and its definitions

Globalisation has obtained many definitions, and with amount of definitions can easily
blur the lines and the explanation of what globalisation is. Shalmali Guttal defines
globalisation as a term to describe a variety of economic, cultural, social and political
changes over the past 50 years (2007). This definition constricts the time frame of
globalisation, disregarding the potential of the globalisation concept that could have
occurred prior to the 1950 s. The fact that this definition is so constricting and negates
any potential of the globalisation process to before the 1950 s is troubling, as there are
others who believe the opposite, those who believe globalisation started more than what
is now sixty years ago. However, the
Kantianism And Racism
Gesellschaft zur Vorbereitung des Deutschen Volkswagens simply renamed to
Volkswagenwerk, or The People s Car Company is a German founded car company
originally developed by Hitler. Volkswagen states that their morals include being
responsible for people, the economy, society and the environment. These morals are quite
contradicting due to the 2015 emission scandal where they have abandoned their values
by hindering the economy, society, their consumers and the environment. Volkswagen
used a software called defeat device on millions of diesel run cars. The software is able
to determine when a car is going through an emissions test, making the vehicle appear
more environmentally friendly. Volkswagen was caught when the EPA issued a notice...

This moral philosophy is referred to as Kantianism and poses two specific questions,
Can I rationally will that everyone will act as I propose to act? If no, then the act must
not be performed. The second question being will my actions respect the goals of
human beings rather than using them for personal purposes? If no, then the act must
not be performed. Kantianism allows the individual or the company to continue to
question their morals and motives and to ensure the decision made will be beneficial
to everyone. Kant s theory directs an individual to go forth and pursue an
indeterminate plurality of ends and to apply our moral principles. Kant s theory is
grounded by the separation of hypothetical imperatives or categorical ones. Kant with
the hypothetical imperative is suggesting what you must do to achieve what you
desire but the categorical imperative is instructing the individual to do as they wish
regardless of their desires. One is required to tell the truth and be honest even if our
desire is to keep quiet. Kant believes that individuals cannot be responsible for their
desires and should not be held accountable for the repercussions of their actions. Kant
believes that Since I have robbed the will of every inducement that might arise for it as a
consequence of obeying any particular law, nothing is left but the conformity of actions
to universal law as such, that this alone must serve the will as its
neon Essay
Did you know that neon is a Greek word that means quot;new quot;? Neon is the
element that I am most interested in. I chose to do neon because I found out what
many uses it has in our daily life. Neon is the element that allows you to watch TV.
Without neon we would never see the cool flashing signs outside of diners and bars. In
my essay I am going to tell you about neon and its many uses.
First, I m going to tell you about the history and uses of neon. Neon was discovered by
Sir William Ramsay, a Scottish chemist, and Morris M. Travers, an English chemist,
shortly after their discovery of the element krypton in 1898. Neon is one of the most
amusing elements used today. Neon mixed with some other elements ... Show more

Neon is found in the atmosphere. Neon is 0.002% of the atmosphere. Also, stars produce
neon during the later stages of nuclear fusion.
All there is to talk about neon now is about how it integrates into our life. To show you
the integration in our society I will demonstrate a situation in which neon comes into
play. Imagine walking around in Las Vegas with your friends looking to have a good
time before your business meeting the next day. You look up and see giant signs that
flash and move around advertising casinos and restaurants. Those signs are discharge
tubes holding the active ingredients of our friend neon and his buddy mercury. You
decide to walk into the casino with the biggest, coolest sign that says quot;MGM
quot;. You walk into the casino wondering what to do first, so you walk over to the
nearest craps table. You play craps for a couple hours and decide to cash in and go out
to eat with all the money you won. You walk into a sports bar to get a drink and you
notice a TV with the Lakers game on. You look up at the TV and notice they are losing
84 to 36. The television has a tube in it that holds neon to project things onto the glass
screen you see, without neon you wouldn t be able to watch any of your favorite
shows. When you are finished eating your friends ask if you want to go to the
Smithsonian observation museum about 10 miles away from downtown Las Vegas. You
agree and pile into your rented Mercedes Benz SRX. As your driving on the
