BADJAO SCRIPT

Culture: Badjao (Scenes portraying the beach of Zamboanga city boulevard where badjaos dwell on a

(Narrator) The Badjao people, a seafaring tribe with a rich cultural heritage, have an intriguing history
that connects them to the vibrant city of Zamboanga. The origins of the Badjao tribe trace back to the
southern Philippines, specifically the Sulu Archipelago.

For countless generations, the Badjao people have roamed the seas as skilled fishermen and expert
divers. Their unique way of life sets them apart, as their culture and traditions revolve around the ocean.
They are known for their incredible ability to navigate the vast waters using only the stars and natural
elements.

(Narrator) Over time, the Badjao tribe expanded their horizons and ventured beyond their ancestral
home in search of new opportunities and resources. This desire for exploration led them to the
abundant shores of Zamboanga City, where they eventually settled.
