 Betty Makoni spent her life fighting for women's rights and breaking the "victims

myth" in Zimbabwe.
 She dedicated herself to creating a society where women are protected, empowered,
and free from violence. She helped at least 60,000 girls around Zimbabwe.
 Her creation of the Girl Child Network had put 4,000 child sex offenders behind bars.
This led other women worldwide to speak out about their experiences and fight for
justice.
 Betty Makoni's life and commitment to justice exemplify the divine intention for
human beings to live in a harmonious and compassionate relationship with God.
 From Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to
the fatherless, and please the widow’s cause,” This verse is taken from the Old
Testament. The pursuit of justice for child abuse, sexual exploitation, and human
trafficking was something that Betty had been campaigning for. Through her, the
voice of those who are vulnerable or oppressed is heard. These deeds are in
accordance with the teachings that were imparted to us in the Old Testament, such as
compassion and mercy, advocacy for those who are oppressed, and protection of
those who are vulnerable.
 Betty Makoni's life is a testament to how God's justice reflects God's love and mercy.
Despite enduring unimaginable hardships, including surviving sexual abuse and
witnessing the horrors of violence against women and girls, Betty Makoni dedicated
her life to seeking justice.
 Through her work, Betty Makoni demonstrated God's justice by fighting for the rights
and dignity of women and girls, seeking to correct the injustices they had suffered.
Her life showed God's justice, which reflects God's love and mercy, by dedicating
herself to defending survivors of sexual abuse and violence.
 She began integrating her faith with her passion for social justice, envisioning a future
where the church was pivotal in supporting and empowering abuse survivors.
 As Betty Makoni's influence within the church grew, she pushed for greater
awareness and action, ultimately paving the way for a more inclusive and supportive
environment for survivors. Her work within the church became a key component of
her broader mission to create a world free from violence and oppression for women
and girls. This achievement is recognized as the champion of women's rights in
Africa. She wants to build a foundation for girls to develop into women leaders and
walk in the fullness of their potential, which led women worldwide to unite and create
a chapter of the Girl Child Network Worldwide.
 As a daughter who grew up in a household that wasn’t allowed to share their
opinions, Betty Makoni’s life story is inspiring; she did not give up fighting for
justice and letting her voice be heard. The thing that I can do is share this story on
every social media to help raise awareness of what is happening to other women in
the country. And form a group on Facebook that can be a starting point as the
Philippine Girl Child Network Chapter, which will serve as their safe place to share
what has been bothering them their entire life (sexual harassment, violence, and rape).
Through this, we could form solidarity in helping these women to put their predators
behind bars; making the world a better and safer place to live in.
